„Poltegor – Instytut” is a leading research entity in the field of opencast
mining, including lignite and raw materials industry as well as the industry of
binding, Chemical, clay and aggregate materials. The strategie objective of the
Institute is to create innovative, clean and environmentally friendly mining and
Processing technologies and implement new technical Solutions in opencast mining
industry.






THE ORIGINS OF THE INSTITUTE

The history of “Poltegor-lnstitute” dates back to the 1950s. In 1955 it was
transformed into an autonomous Lower Silesian Mining Design Office and in 1971
