Racing for Recovery had a nice display of support in Rossford  on October 22,
2022! City Hall along with the Rossford Police Department hosted the Racing for
Recovery event.  Many took a little time Saturday morning, October 22, to cheer
on participates in this event.  Racing for Recovery, based in Holland, Ohio, is
a non-profit organization with a mission to prevent substance abuse and improve
the quality of life for addicts and their loved ones by promoting a lifestyle of
health, fitness, and sobriety.  Check out the event listing for race, route, and

The Rossford Police Department is seeking lateral transfer candidates for the
position of patrol officer. To qualify, officers must have a minimum of 2 years
prior full time employment as a police officer, and have a maximum age of 40
years. Lateral transfers do not need to test or complete a physical agility
test. Starting rate of pay is $31.25 for 2 years prior experience and $33.12 for
3 years prior experience. We also have an excellent benefits package.

Contruction Ramp Closures

Construction work continues on the NB I-75 ramp to Miami St & Miami St to NB
I-75 ramps. Detours are below if needed.

 * NB I-75 to Miami St: NB I-75; Exit 201A – Collingwood/Erie St; SB I-75; Exit
   199 – Miami St
 * Miami St to NB I-75: SB I-75; Exit 198 – Wales Rd; NB I-75

Existing I-75 bridge over Miami St will be demolished and the new NB I-75 bridge
over Miami St will be finished. Reconstruction of the ramps and some minor
traffic pattern changes continue as the improvements progress.  Questions, call

Familiarize yourself with the two different types of sewers in Rossford:
Sanitary Sewer and Storm Sewer.

Sanitary Sewer – carries water discharged from in-home plumbing such as sinks,
toilets, bathtubs and showers.

Storm Sewer – water from a rain or snow event.

If you are experiencing sewer backup in your home, please call Northwestern
Water & Sewer District at 419-354-9090 to determine if your Sanitary Sewer &
Storm Sewer are still combined. If they are, this could be the source of
your sewer backup. Some homeowners may be eligible for Sanitary Sewer Grant
Program money to assist them in correcting this issue. Please see the link below
for more information.
