 * Orlando International Airport was warned 15 minutes prior to showtime each
   night by “Mexico Control”.
 * 750 individual mortar tubes were used to shoot off the fireworks for each
   show.
 * The inferno barge weighed 75 tons and was capable of shooting flames up to 60
   feet.
 * The Globe was 28 feet in diameter and featured over 15,000 LED clusters.

   to the Walt Disney World Resort has been a truly magical experience for you
   and yours. Ladies and gentlemen, the entire Epcot family thanks you for
   having been with us for ‘Illuminations: Reflections of Earth’, presented by
   Siemens. It may be a pie in the sky idea but the message is still deeply
   moving. Streams of pyro would launch from all around the perimeter and
   converging in the center around the single globe…. The highlight of the show
   was when all the countries around world showcase would light up in unity, the
   world as one. Let’s take a look at a few more photos from our final viewing.
   While I do realize the show was due for replacement, I’m still very sad to
   see the end of an error. A post show stroll around World Showcase was one of
   my very favorite things to do in all of Walt Disney World! The post show
   featured the playing of the song “Promise”, followed by the Tapastry of
   Nations parade soundtrack. We were then treated to one of the best pyro
   finales in any fireworks show anywhere!
 * Act III – Meaning: The final act begins slowly as the torches around the
   lagoon are re-lit and the globe in the center opens to reveal a final unity
   torch, as the song “We Go On” would play.

 * Towards the end we get some firework bursts and lasers as the countries
   around World Showcase light up in a sign of unity.

 * Act II – Order: This act begins with the aforementioned 5 minutes of spinning
   globe with little to no pyro.
 * Act I – Chaos: This was a pyro heavy section filled with bursts and flames
   meant to represent the creation of the planet.
 * The combination of low bursts and turrets / flames on the water made for a
   jaw dropping spectacle! That being said, the pyro that was in the show was
   really great. This admittedly also led to those less informed fans who
   thought they were viewing a fireworks show to be a little confused at times.
   The fact that there is a 5 minute portion of the show without any pyro at
   all, yet still held our attention, shows that this show was more than just a
   fireworks show. The whoosh of the flames being blown out immediately
   following this still gave me chills every time, right up to the bitter end.
   We hope you enjoy our story tonight: Reflections of Earth”. And though each
   of us has our own individual stories to tell, a true adventure emerges when
   we bring them all together as one. An amazing story as old as time itself,
   but still being written. We’re gathered here tonight around the fire as
   people of all lands have gathered for thousands and thousands of years before
   us… to share the light… and to share a story. On behalf of Walt Disney World,
   the place where dreams come true, we welcome all of you to Epcot and World
   Showcase.
   
   
   
   The show began each night with an introduction from Disney voice acting
   legend Jim Cummings: The things I will miss most about this show are the
   music, the atmosphere of the torches being lit around the lagoon and the
   overall message of the production. While most folks probably referred to
   Illuminations as a fireworks show, the pyro was always secondary. We will now
   have the fan service driven “Epcot Forever” (which I am looking forward to)
   for less than a year followed by the eventual long term, IP filled
   replacement “Harmonious”. There will never be another show like this created
   for a Disney park and that’s a bummer. I was super emotional last night as I
   watched the live stream of the final show. I thought I had made peace with
   the show ending after that, but I was wrong I guess.
   
   We saw the show for the last time in late August. The Epcot night time
   spectacular ended a 20 year run playing to fans who camped out hours to see
   the production one last time. Last night, we finally had to officially say
   goodbye to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth.

The book, said to be a meditation on the soul and life after death, is believed
to be the only one bound in human skin at Harvard. JHarvard’s library does, in
fact, contain books bound in human skin by Bradley Babendir Yep.

Lovecrafts letters are among a few of the treasures this library has to offer.
"A book about the human soul deserved to have a human covering." Discover John

kept this piece of human skin taken from the back of a woman," he wrote. Located

ornament had been stamped on the cover to "preserve its elegance". Author Arsène
Houssaye apparently gave the unbound text of 'Des destinées de lame'. Numerous
19th Century accounts exist of the bodies of executed criminals being donated to
science, their skins later given to bookbinders. Recent tests confirmed that a
book in Harvard Universitys Houghton Library is bound in human skin. The
practice of binding books in human skin - termed anthropodermic bibliopegy - has
been reported since as early as the 16th Century. A book about the human soul
deserved to have a human covering: I had kept this piece of human skin taken
from the back of a woman.

By looking carefully you easily distinguish the pores of the skin. "The
analytical data, taken together with the provenance of Des destinees de l'ame,
make it very unlikely that the source could be other than human," Bill Lane, the
director of the Harvard Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Resource Laboratory,
told the Houghton Library Blog. A translated excerpt follows: This book is bound
in human skin parchment on which no ornament has been stamped to preserve its
elegance. Writer Arsene Houssaye is said to have given the book to his friend,

But keep in mind that this is an "almost-scorched-earth" method, and should only
be used as a last resort. If none of the above methods fixed the Start Menu, the
last thing you can try is to do a factory reset of your Windows 10 installation.

How to reset your Windows 10 installation When the Get-AppXPackage command is
finished, restart your computer, log in, and try to open the Start Menu. Don't
worry about them – most are just warnings about why a program can't be
reinstalled: Note: You may see some scary looking errors pop up as the
Get-AppXPackage command is running. Give it 5-10 minutes, and make sure you
don't close the PowerShell window until it's finished. You don't need to worry
about the manifest files, though – it's just something Windows needs to run each
program. It will also register a manifest file for each program it reinstalls.
The Get-AppXPackage command will attempt to reinstall all the default Windows
apps, including the Start Menu and search bar. In the PowerShell terminal, run
the following command: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach This should open up a
PowerShell terminal with administrative privileges. Use the shortcut Windows Key
+ R to open the Run program, enter "powershell", then hold down "Ctrl + Shift"

you'll run. The next thing you can try is to reset the Start Menu entirely,

By 1961, American musicians visiting the country – among them flutist Herbie
Mann and guitarist Charlie Byrd – had played alongside Brazilian musicians and
enjoyed a first-hand experience of the burgeoning bossa nova movement. Between
19, Jobim worked on Gilberto’s albums in Brazil, helping to establish the
quiet-voiced singer/guitarist as a new star in his native country.īut Gilberto’s
fame soon spread outside of Brazil. Among the first singers to record his songs
were Elizete Cardoso and Sylvia Telles (who both recorded entire albums of his
material in the late 50s) along with another singer called Maysa, whose
purportedly hedonistic lifestyle led to her being called “the Janis Joplin of
bossa nova.” Most significant of all, however, was João Gilberto. In the wake of
Black Orpheus’ success, which quickly proved a global phenomenon that helped to
export the emerging bossa nova sound, Jobim’s fame rapidly accelerated.

Rather than repurpose the music that Jobim had written for de Moraes’ play,
Camus commissioned some new music from the composer, which included the classic
song “Felicidade” the director also featured two songs by another rising
Brazilian singer/composer, Luis Bonfá, one of which was “Manhã de Carnaval,”
which like “Felicidade” became one of the cornerstones of the burgeoning bossa
nova movement. His play proved profoundly influential, inspiring the 1959
award-winning movie Black Orpheus, filmed by the French director Marcel Camus
using Black Brazilian actors. De Moraes reworked the ancient Greek legend of
Orpheus and Eurydice, transplanting the action to a Rio favela during carnival
time. (He also embarked on a career as a singer/songwriter in the 1960s). He had
risen to fame in Brazil as the composer of music for a 1956 play called Musicas
De Orfeu Da Conceição, written by the Rio-born poet and playwright Vinicius de
Moraes, who crucially, would go on to become one of Jobim’s most important
collaborators. One of its key architects was Antônio Carlos “Tom” Jobim
(1927-1994), a classically-trained Rio De Janeiro-born pianist who also played
the guitar, sang, and wrote songs. The birth of Bossa Novaīossa nova’s story
really began in 1956. Many musicians – particularly jazz ones – were attracted
by the music’s delicate melodies, lush harmonies, and slinky syncopation, and
began recording authentic Brazilian material as well as reconfiguring standard
songs using bossa nova-influenced rhythms. After the phenomenal success of “The
Girl From Ipanema,” bossa nova fever gripped the US.

get rid of a wide number of wild critters in a natural way, but when you take a
