the Tangerine Tree project The Tangerine Tree is a collection of concert recordings from the best possible sources available. Tapes which have previously not seen the light of day for as many as 30 years are being discovered and contributed to this effort. In most cases, the Tangerine Tree version of a concert is coming from a digitally remastered source that is 2 or more generations above the widely distributed bootlegs of the same concert. In short, whether you have never heard an untouched concert recording of Tangerine Dream (if you own only official TD releases, you haven't), or already have a collection of fantapes or bootlegs, you should give the Tree a listen. The sound quality of many of the Tree discs is fabulous. Here are the concert recordings included in the Tangerine Tree so far: [Tangerine Tree 1] Feb 2002 Nov 8, 1976 - Nottingham Albert Hall, UK The crown jewel of Tangerine Tree series 1 (replaces Me-Rad) Oct 24, 1974 - Sheffield City Hall Oct 7, 2001 - Marienkirche Bernau Inferno Apr 4, 1977 - Washington, DC Lisner Auditorium The complete 2 hour concert from which "Monolight" and "Cherokee Lane" on "Encore 77" were derived. Soundboard + DAT (replaces audience recording) [Tangerine Tree 3] Feb 2003 Jan 31, 1980 - Palast der Republik, Berlin The complete evening Palast der Republik concert.
