FUNDING 2024 NSW COMMERCIALISATION SHOWCASE The NSW Commercialisation Showcase was held on Wednesday 17 April 2024 at the Aerial UTS Function Centre. The Showcase celebrated the success of the research and innovation commercialisation programs managed by the Office of the NSW Chief Scientist & Engineer. HIGHLIGHTS Funding 18 September 2024 RNA AUSTRALIA OPEN FOR BUSINESS NSW-based company RNA Australia has now officially launched, following appointment of its board and signing of an Operator Agreement. Funding 9 September 2024 CONSTRUCTION STARTS ON RNA RESEARCH AND MANUFACTURING FACILITY FOR NSW The facility will develop vaccines and medical therapies for humans and animals based on cutting-edge RNA technology. Funding 6 September 2024 NSW GOVERNMENT PROVIDES $1.89 MILLION TO 10 NSW BUSINESSES TO DELIVER NATURAL HAZARDS TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS Novel blue-green algae detection technology among 10 projects to receive funding support. Events 6 November 2024 SCIENCE & RESEARCH BREAKFAST SEMINARS Professor Sharon Naismith from the University of Sydney presents, 'Optimising Brain Health for Dementia Prevention'.
