Welcome to Cardrona Alpine Resort, New Zealand's ultimate mountain playground!

Ski in Queenstown & Wanaka at New Zealand's favourite ski area – Cardrona Alpine
Resort. Founded in 1980, Cardrona is now open for both winter skiing &
snowboarding, as well as a range of summer activities.


WINTER SKI HOLIDAY

Whether you're on a Queenstown family ski holiday, a snowboard trip to Wanaka
with your mates, or you're a die-hard local, there's something at Cardrona for
everyone! From first time skiers & snowboarders, to Olympic & X Games
medallists, everyone is welcome here – everyone's a VIP.

The kids are sorted from 3mths to 14yrs with ski & snowboard lessons for all
ability levels, as well as an on-mountain Kids' Club & Ski Kindy. Adults can
brush up their skills with either private or group ski & snowboard lessons.

Not skiing? Take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain, have a champagne at
the Vista Bar, or give snow tubing a go in spring! Experience Cardrona by night
with a la carte dinner at the Mezz, followed by a unique stargazing experience
& stay in our ski-in/ski-out accommodation.

We're home to the legendary Cardrona Parks NZ – the Southern Hemisphere's most
extensive terrain parks & pipes. Cardrona also hosts a range of Winter Events
throughout the season to showcase up & coming local talent, along with the
world's best skiers & snowboarders.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS

There's SO much to do on your Kiwi summer holiday at Cardrona. Fly into
Queenstown, cruise over the Crown Range, or visit us from Wanaka & see what all
the fuss is about!

FOR THE ADVENTURE SEEKER...

Try New Zealand's only mountain carting experience right here at Cardrona! Zoom
down the mountain on the specialist 3-wheeled, off-road carts... race your mates
or explore the mountain at your pace. This is a one-of-a-kind activity,
definitely a #nzmustdo!

FOR THE MOUNTAIN BIKER...

Check out Cardrona Bike Park, over 25km of lift-accessed, downhill mountain bike
trails. This includes one of New Zealand's most iconic rides, the 1200m
descending Cardrona Peak to Pub. The Cardrona Bike Park offers trails for all
levels, & Mountain Bike Lessons for anyone wanting to brush up on their skills.

FOR THE EXPLORER...

Take a gondola ride to the top of the mountain & explore our hiking trails, read
about local history, & see if you can spot a karearea – the New Zealand native
falcon! 

FOR THE DREAMER...

We also offer our stargazing experience in summer, including free transport from
Wanaka or the bottom of the Cardrona mountain road. There's a lot to see up
there to get you inspired! Just like winter, you can grab a delicious dinner in
the Mezz before, & stay in our on-mountain apartments any day of the summer
season.
