BRIGGS DRUGS IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
This book is the "Bible" of Drugs in Pregnancy and Lactation. Be prepared to
look up the drugs by generic names only. Previous editions listed each drug
as A, B,C,D or X, but be prepared to view a litany of information on studies
of each drug and form your own opinion as to whether to prescribe a drug or
not. Fortunately, the last line of all that information may say that "the
drug is considered compatible in pregnancy/breast feeding by [organization].
The true benefit of this book is the chance to use it as an e-book with
indexes on your mobile device, and uses "Bookshelf" as an app. I have the
previous editiion of this book, however, and some time ago, the e-book
"expired" and I lost that functionality until I bought the most recent
edition and put in the new e-book code.
The book is much too large and heavy to consider it for anything but an off
the shelf reference book.
