DR. L. ANTHONY CIRILLO ELECTED AMERICAN COLLEGE OF EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS
(ACEP) PRESIDENT-ELECT
CANTON, Ohio, October 1, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s
largest physician-owned emergency and inpatient medicine practice, announced
today that L. Anthony Cirillo, MD, FACEP, Director of Government Affairs, has
been elected as the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP)
President-Elect. The ACEP Council elected Dr. Cirillo president on Saturday,
September 28, prior to their annual ACEP Scientific Assembly Conference in
Las Vegas, NV. As a member of ACEP for more than 30 years, Dr. Cirillo has
served in numerous leadership positions, most recently as Chair of the Board,
completing his back-to-back three-year terms. He was also named the 2018
recipient of ACEP's Colin C. Rorrie, Jr., PhD Award for Excellence in Health
Policy. Dr. Cirillo began with a USACS legacy group in 2004 and has served in
various clinical, quality, and leadership roles during his tenure. The focus
of his work has been, and continues to be, bridging the gap between
healthcare and health policy. Chris Hummer, USACS Chief Executive Officer,
said, “We are immensely proud of Dr. Cirillo for all he has accomplished,
both on behalf of USACS and ACEP. His steadfast determination to advance the
emergency medicine specialty is inspiring, and we are fortunate to have him

US ACUTE CARE SOLUTIONS NAMES DR. KELLY ABBRESCIA REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF
SOUTH DIVISION
CANTON, Ohio, August 19, 2024 – US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the nation’s
largest physician-owned emergency and inpatient medicine practice, announced
today that it has named Kelly Abbrescia, DO, MMM, FACEP, a Regional Vice
President of its South Division. Most recently, Dr. Abbrescia served as the
Medical Director at Carteret Health Care in Morehead City, NC. Throughout her
career, Dr. Abbrescia has held numerous leadership roles, notably serving as the
System Medical Director at Bayhealth Medical Center prior to joining USACS. She
also served as a Major in the US Army at Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam
Houston, Texas, after completing an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) fellowship.
President of the USACS South Division, Brandon Lewis, DO, MBA, FACEP, FACOEP,
said, “Dr. Abbrescia has been highly impressive in her short tenure with us, and
we expect great things from her as she steps into this role for our division.
Our leadership team is looking forward to working with her in this new
capacity.” Dr. Abbrescia said, “Since joining USACS, I have been impressed by
the outstanding leadership efforts that have taken place and felt called to
apply for this instrumental role within the South Division. It is an honor and
privilege to serve my colleagues as a regional vice president and I am eager to
hit the ground running to make an immediate impact.” Dr. Abbrescia earned her
bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University and her medical degree from
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her
emergency medicine residency and EMS fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical
Center where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Abbrescia also earned her
master’s degree in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University – Heinz
School of Business and is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified. About USACS

PSYCHIATRIC CARE IN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENTS
CANTON, Ohio, Jan 23, 2023– US Acute Care Solutions (USACS), the largest

strategic partnership to offer comprehensive acute medical and psychiatric care
services to health systems. With the newly formed Behavioral Emergency
Stabilization and Treatment(BEST) model*, USACS and Array will unite their
clinical and technological expertise to combat the growing epidemic of acute
mental illness that has impacted the nation for decades. Patients with acute
psychiatric issues have significantly higher average emergency department (ED)
lengths of stay and are more likely to stay in the ED for longer than 12 hours
than those with other medical conditions (Simko 2022)[1]. It is not uncommon for
EDs around the nation to have psychiatric patients waitingdaysfor specialist
care and transfer to appropriate institutions. The burden on psychiatric
patients and their families is paralleled by the challenges posed to the health
system, especially during this time of staffing and resource shortages. The
downstream result of delays in acute psychiatric care has a domino effect on
non-psychiatric patient care and throughput. Array’s sophisticated virtual
psychiatric care platform and clinical expertise can improve the speed of
evaluation, treatment initiation and patient throughput, which improves the
quality of care for all patients in the acute care space. Additionally, by using

today it has named Lori Fauvie as Chief Human Resources Officer. Most recently,
Ms. Fauvie served as Vice President of Human Resources for the Parker Hannifin
Corporation, a Fortune-250 global leader in motion and control technologies, in
roles of increasing responsibility. An attorney by trade, Ms. Fauvie began her
career at Parker as an Assistant General Counsel, a position she held for five
years beginning in 2008. Prior to joining Parker, Ms. Fauvie practiced law at
Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease, LLP, in Cleveland. Fauvie earned her bachelor’s
degree from Ohio University and her Juris Doctorate at the Cleveland Marshall
