DIRECTOR (BUSINESS)

A director is a person from a group of managers who leads or supervises a
particular area of a company, program, or project.Companies that use this term
often have many directors spread throughout different business functions or
roles (e.g. director of human resources). The director usually reports directly
to a vice president or to the CEO directly in order to let them know the
progress of the organization. Large organizations also sometimes have assistant
directors or deputy directors. Director commonly refers to the lowest level of
executive in an organization, but many large companies use the title of
associate director more frequently. Some companies also have regional directors
and area directors. Regional directors are present in companies that are
organized by location and have their departments under that. They are
responsible for the operations for their particular country. Though directors
are the first stage in the executive team, area directors are seen as higher up,
based on their area of control.

EXPRESS (WEAPONRY)

The term express was first applied to hunting rifles and ammunition beginning in
the middle 19th century, to indicate a rifle or ammunition capable of higher
than typical velocities. The early express cartridges used a heavy charge of
black powder to propel a lightweight, often hollow point bullet, at high
velocities to maximize point blank range. Later the express cartridges were
loaded with nitrocellulose based gunpowder, leading to the Nitro Express
cartridges, the first of which was the .450 Nitro Express.

The term express is still in use today, and is applied to rifles, ammunition,
and a type of iron sight. With the widespread adoption of small bore, high
velocity rifle cartridges, the meaning of express has shifted in modern usage,
and refers to high velocity, large bore rifles and ammunition, typically used
for hunting large or dangerous game at close range.

HISTORY

The name originates with a rifle built by James Purdey in 1856 (based on a
pattern established a year earlier by William Greener) and named the Express
Train, a marketing phrase intended to denote the considerable velocity of the
bullet it fired. It was not the first rifle or cartridge of this type but it was
Purdey's name express that stuck.

EKSPRESS

Ekspress (Russian: Экспресс meaning Express), is a series of geostationary
communications satellites owned by Russian State Company for Satellite
Communications. The first satellite of this kind was launched on October 13,
1994. The satellites are produced by the company JSC Information Satellite
Systems.

OVERVIEW

The Ekspress series of communication satellites (industry code 11F639) was
developed by the satellite company NPO PM as a replacement for the old Gorizont
series of comsats. The first satellite of the series, Ekspress 1, was launched
in 1994. It had a mass of 2.5 tons, 17 channels and an operational lifetime of
at 5–7 years.

Starting in the mid-1990s, NPO PM started to make significant effort to close
the technology gap between Russian and Western communication satellites.
Cooperation with the French company Alcatel (now Thales Alenia Space) was begun
in 1995. The first satellite of a new second series, Ekspress A-1, had 12
Alcatel-built transponders. It was lost in a rocket failure in 1999, but a
replacement, Ekspress A-2 was successfully launched in March, 2000.

Delivering results without compromising respect. DHL Express believes that
employees drive service quality which in turn delivers growth to propel the
company forward. It does not have to be something lavish for leaders to show
they appreciate their staff's performance. It can even be as simple as a curry
puff. Mr Christopher Ong, Managing Director for DHL Express Singapore shares
this in our conversation with him during our 2nd Workplace Culture Masterclass.

Making of Chennai Express movie | Behind the scenes | Shahrukh Khan | Deepika
Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by
Rohit Shetty and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Gauri Khan
and Karim Morani, based on a story by K. Subash, with a screenplay written by
Yunus Sajawal and dialogues by Farhad-Sajid. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as
Rahul Mithaiwala, a man who accidentally boards the eponymous train and journeys
from Mumbai to Rameswaram with the daughter of a local don, played by Deepika
Padukone. Nikitin Dheer and Sathyaraj play supporting roles. The first planned
collaboration between Khan and Shetty was a remake of Angoor (1982). The script
of Chennai Express, which was initially written as a backup project for Khan,
was chosen instead. Conceived as a "commercial romance", the film was originally
titled Ready Steady Po. Filming began in Mehboob Studio in October 2012 and was
completed by May 2013. A large part of the film was set in Ooty, for which sets
were constructed in Wai and also in Ramoji Film City. The soundtrack for Chennai
Express was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, with the background score being composed
by Amar Mohile. UTV Motion Pictures came on board as producer and distributor,
marking its first active project with Khan after Swades (2004). Chennai Express
was released theatrically in overseas markets on 8 August 2013 and a day later
in India. The film received mixed reviews from critics and it broke several box
office records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect ₹1
billion (US$13 million) net domestically. The film surpassed 3 Idiots (2009) to
become the highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide at that point. It is the
21st highest grossing Indian film of all time. Filming on the project began at
Mehboob Studio in Mumbai on 5 October 2012.Additional filming was done at
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus with a minimal crew.Stills of the lead actor were
unofficially released in mid-October 2012.In November 2012, the cast and crew
went to Goa to begin filming the scenes set there.Vasco da Gama railway station
was used to portray as Kalyan Junction railway station. A romantic scene on
board a train passing next to Dudhsagar Falls was also shot.In December 2012,
the crew went to Jakarta to film certain scenes. The Pamban Bridge also known as
Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge, connecting the town of Mandapam in Tamil Nadu with
Pamban Island, and Rameswaram was the scene for the song "Tera Rastaa Chhodoon
Na". In January 2013, a shoot was supposedly scheduled to take place in Ooty,
but since Khan felt that Ooty was too far from Mumbai, several locations from
Ooty were reconstructed on the outskirts of Panchgani in Wai by the art director
Narendra Ruharikar. It took over 40 days and ₹ 15 million to build the required
sets.Filming in Wai took the entire month of March 2013.A 10-day shooting
schedule in Munnar, Kerala, began in mid-April 2013; scenes were filmed at
Devikulam Lake, Meesapulimala, Wagavara and Kannimala.Filming was stopped for
several days because of heavy rainfall, resulting in the schedule being slightly
extended until end of the same month.A press conference was held in Munnar. In
May 2013, scenes were filmed in North Goa.Padukone finished shooting on 25 May
2013.Khan flew to Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad in May 2013 to film his remaining
scenes. The film has several Tamil dialogues, but to retain context no subtitles
were used. #making #shahrukhkhan #moviebts #chennaiExpress

Making of Chennai Express movie | Behind the scenes | Shahrukh Khan | Deepika
Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed
by Rohit Shetty and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Gauri
Khan and Karim Morani, based on a story by K. Subash, with a screenplay
written by Yunus Sajawal and dialogues by Farhad-Sajid. The film stars Shah
Rukh Khan as Rahul Mithaiwala, a man who accidentally boards the eponymous
train and journeys from Mumbai to Rameswaram with the daughter of a local
don, played by Deepika Padukone. Nikitin Dheer and Sathyaraj play supporting
roles. The first planned collaboration between Khan and Shetty was a remake
of Angoor (1982). The script of Chennai Express, which was initially written
as a backup project for Khan, was chosen instead. Conceived as a "commercial
romance", the film was originally titled Ready Steady Po. Filming began in
Mehboob Studio in October 2012 and was completed by May 2013. A large part of
the film was set in Ooty, for which sets were constructed in Wai and also in
Ramoji Film City. The soundtrack for Chennai Express was composed by
Vishal–Shekhar, with the background score being composed by Amar Mohile. UTV
Motion Pictures came on board as producer and distributor, marking its first
active project with Khan after Swades (2004). Chennai Express was released
theatrically in overseas markets on 8 August 2013 and a day later in India.
The film received mixed reviews from critics and it broke several box office
records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect ₹1 billion
(US$13 million) net domestically. The film surpassed 3 Idiots (2009) to
become the highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide at that point. It is the
21st highest grossing Indian film of all time. Filming on the project began
at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai on 5 October 2012.Additional filming was done at
Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus with a minimal crew.Stills of the lead actor
were unofficially released in mid-October 2012.In November 2012, the cast and
crew went to Goa to begin filming the scenes set there.Vasco da Gama railway
station was used to portray as Kalyan Junction railway station. A romantic
scene on board a train passing next to Dudhsagar Falls was also shot.In
December 2012, the crew went to Jakarta to film certain scenes. The Pamban
Bridge also known as Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge, connecting the town of
Mandapam in Tamil Nadu with Pamban Island, and Rameswaram was the scene for
the song "Tera Rastaa Chhodoon Na". In January 2013, a shoot was supposedly
scheduled to take place in Ooty, but since Khan felt that Ooty was too far
from Mumbai, several locations from Ooty were reconstructed on the outskirts
of Panchgani in Wai by the art director Narendra Ruharikar. It took over 40
days and ₹ 15 million to build the required sets.Filming in Wai took the
entire month of March 2013.A 10-day shooting schedule in Munnar, Kerala,
began in mid-April 2013; scenes were filmed at Devikulam Lake, Meesapulimala,
Wagavara and Kannimala.Filming was stopped for several days because of heavy
rainfall, resulting in the schedule being slightly extended until end of the
same month.A press conference was held in Munnar. In May 2013, scenes were
filmed in North Goa.Padukone finished shooting on 25 May 2013.Khan flew to
Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad in May 2013 to film his remaining scenes. The film
has several Tamil dialogues, but to retain context no subtitles were used.

For many AAPI families, the ability to survive, prosper and build a better
life for future generations has been through entrepreneurship - everything
from owning a small business to building a national household name. You may
know Panda Express as a staple Chinese restaurant chain in most cities, but
what many people don’t know is that the business is family owned. Andrew and
Peggy Cherng opened the first Panda Express in 1983 in Glendale, California,
a decade after opening their first Panda Inn restaurant in Pasadena. Now, the
nation-wide company has over 2,200 locations and is a household name in
America. Their daughter, Andrea, also works for the company as Chief Brand
Officer. In this four-part series, we talked to family-owned and operated
businesses where both the elder and newer generations are hard at work, to
find out how they started and what the American Dream means to them.

Making of Chennai Express movie | Behind the scenes | Shahrukh Khan |
Deepika Chennai Express is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language action comedy
film directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth
Roy Kapur, Gauri Khan and Karim Morani, based on a story by K. Subash, with a
screenplay written by Yunus Sajawal and dialogues by Farhad-Sajid. The
film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul Mithaiwala, a man who accidentally
boards the eponymous train and journeys from Mumbai to Rameswaram with the
daughter of a local don, played by Deepika Padukone. Nikitin Dheer and
Sathyaraj play supporting roles. The first planned collaboration between
Khan and Shetty was a remake of Angoor (1982). The script of Chennai
Express, which was initially written as a backup project for Khan, was
chosen instead. Conceived as a "commercial romance", the film was
originally titled Ready Steady Po. Filming began in Mehboob Studio in
October 2012 and was completed by May 2013. A large part of the film was set
in Ooty, for which sets were constructed in Wai and also in Ramoji Film City.
The soundtrack for Chennai Express was composed by Vishal–Shekhar, with the
background score being composed by Amar Mohile. UTV Motion Pictures came on
board as producer and distributor, marking its first active project with
Khan after Swades (2004). Chennai Express was released theatrically in
overseas markets on 8 August 2013 and a day later in India. The film
received mixed reviews from critics and it broke several box office
records in India and abroad, becoming the quickest film to collect ₹1
billion (US$13 million) net domestically. The film surpassed 3 Idiots
(2009) to become the highest-grossing Bollywood film worldwide at that
point. It is the 21st highest grossing Indian film of all time. Filming on
the project began at Mehboob Studio in Mumbai on 5 October 2012.
Additional filming was done at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus with a
minimal crew. Stills of the lead actor were unofficially released in
mid-October 2012. In November 2012, the cast and crew went to Goa to begin
filming the scenes set there. Vasco da Gama railway station was used to
portray as Kalyan Junction railway station. A romantic scene on board a
train passing next to Dudhsagar Falls was also shot. In December 2012, the
crew went to Jakarta to film certain scenes. The Pamban Bridge also known as
Annai Indira Gandhi Bridge, connecting the town of Mandapam in Tamil Nadu
with Pamban Island, and Rameswaram was the scene for the song "Tera Rastaa
Chhodoon Na". In January 2013, a shoot was supposedly scheduled to take
place in Ooty, but since Khan felt that Ooty was too far from Mumbai, several
locations from Ooty were reconstructed on the outskirts of Panchgani in
Wai by the art director Narendra Ruharikar. It took over 40 days and ₹ 15
million to build the required sets. Filming in Wai took the entire month of
March 2013.A 10-day shooting schedule in Munnar, Kerala, began in mid-April
2013; scenes were filmed at Devikulam Lake, Meesapulimala, Wagavara and
Kannimala. Filming was stopped for several days because of heavy rainfall,
resulting in the schedule being slightly extended until end of the same
month.A press conference was held in Munnar. In May 2013, scenes were filmed
in North Goa. Padukone finished shooting on 25 May 2013. Khan flew to Ramoji
Film City, Hyderabad in May 2013 to film his remaining scenes. The film has
several Tamil dialogues, but to retain context no subtitles were used.

For many AAPI families, the ability to survive, prosper and build a
better life for future generations has been through entrepreneurship -
everything from owning a small business to building a national household
name. You may know Panda Express as a staple Chinese restaurant chain in
most cities, but what many people don’t know is that the business is family
owned. Andrew and Peggy Cherng opened the first Panda Express in 1983 in
