GETTING HERE

La Romana is just a short 30 minute drive from Punta Cana International Airport
and about an hour drive from Las Americas International Airport in Santo
Domingo. La Romana International Airport (LRM) is 10 minutes from town. Puerto
de La Romana is a base for major cruise lines.

LOCAL TRANSPORT

Taxi, bus, car rental, walk, dance, kayak, and boat are the best ways to get
around La Romana.

VISAS

No visa application is required for valid passport holders if staying under 30
days.

WEATHER

Average year-round temperatures sit at 78°F to 88°F (25°C to 31°C). Loose,
flowing clothes encouraged.

The Dominican peso (RD$) is the official currency throughout the country.
