No direct communication with the child is permitted for the security and safety of children, donors and field staff. HOW DOES AMG'S CHILD SPONSORSHIP COMPARE TO OTHER CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS? Our program is a gospel-first ministry that focuses on holistically meeting a child’s deepest needs, based on his or her context. Our child sponsorship staff are intentional with each child in our program, and your sponsorship provides nutritional support, educational assistance, and basic healthcare where possible while giving the child a safe space to grow in their relationship with the Lord. In most cases, it’s a five-day program that includes a nutritional meal. Many other organizations are two to three days a week and do not have a gospel focus. HOW MUCH IS APPROPRIATE TO GIVE MY CHILD FOR SPECIAL GIFTS, CHRISTMAS AND BIRTHDAYS? We recommend a minimum of $20 (which is the price of one Bundles of Love), with most gifts ranging from $25-$50. Please do not exceed $100 for any single gift. If you have a unique situation, you may contact the sponsorship department at sponsorships@amginternational.org or by calling 1-800-251-7206 and a staff member will discuss this with you. HOW MUCH OF MY SPONSORSHIP FUNDS GO TO MY CHILD? We have an overall overhead of 8% and strive to stretch every dollar to benefit your child with as many services as we can. AMG invests more than your sponsorship through local partnerships and other AMG program funding. WHAT COUNTRIES CAN I CHOOSE A CHILD FROM? Currently AMG International is providing childcare to children in Bangladesh, Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand and Uganda. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN SPONSORING A CHILD? Child sponsorship includes prayer and financial support for your child. You will also receive letters from your child to help foster your new relationship! No direct communication with the child is permitted for the security and safety of children, donors and field staff. HOW DOES AMG'S CHILD SPONSORSHIP COMPARE TO OTHER CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS? Our program is a gospel-first ministry that focuses on holistically meeting a child’s deepest needs, based on his or her context. Our child sponsorship staff are intentional with each child in our program, and your sponsorship provides nutritional support, educational assistance, and basic healthcare where possible while giving the child a safe space to grow in their relationship with the Lord. In most cases, it’s a five-day program that includes a nutritional meal. Many other organizations are two to three days a week and do not have a gospel focus. HOW MUCH IS APPROPRIATE TO GIVE MY CHILD FOR SPECIAL GIFTS, CHRISTMAS AND BIRTHDAYS? We recommend a minimum of $20 (which is the price of one Bundles of Love), with most gifts ranging from $25-$50. Please do not exceed $100 for any single gift. HOW MUCH OF MY SPONSORSHIP FUNDS GO TO MY CHILD? We have an overall overhead of 8% and strive to stretch every dollar to benefit your child with as many services as we can. AMG invests more than your sponsorship through local partnerships and other AMG program funding. WHAT COUNTRIES CAN I CHOOSE A CHILD FROM? Currently AMG International is providing childcare to children in Bangladesh, Colombia, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand and Uganda. WHAT IS INVOLVED IN SPONSORING A CHILD? Child sponsorship includes prayer and financial support for your child. You will also receive letters from your child to help foster your new relationship! Each child writes two letters a year, and we would love for you to respond. You can write as many letters as you like! Letters and photos are especially treasured by the children in our program. You can encourage and invest in their life while watching them grow physically and spiritually.
