These work great. I used these in trellises for my grape vines, raspberries, and
hops. Make sure you feed the wire through straight and centered or it will
thread the wire incorrectly through the spring. You can't really pull them back
out if you feed it incorrectly. Just be sure you feed it as straight through the
center as possible. Cool product!

It really does the trick for being able to string and tighten wire. Only caveat
is that you do need gauge wire that this is meant to tighten.

Be sure to buy extra because if you drill the hole too small or hit the anchor
to hard it will break. I've used these in my grape trellis I constructed at my
house and am very happy with them. I'm able to tighten the wires easily and
prevent sagging of trellis wires.

I installed these into 4x4 posts a few weeks back. They are easy to use, but,
you need to be careful when inserting the wire. The end of the wire can catch
the spring mechanism and not go through. If you're careful and don't force the
wire, it should slip right through. tip: insert the wire through the hold in
your post first, then slip the wire vise onto the wire and snug it up after the
wire is in the vise. So far they seem to hold well, but, it's only been a few
weeks. My only complaint is they are a bit pricey.

Built trellis and put five 9 gauge steel lines between the two ends. I always
wondered how one can stretch the line and keep it tight. When I found these
online decide to try them and they work well, they have been in place for 3
month already.

I needed to devise a trellis for my 25 foot row of raspberries that were going
'wild' and quickly getting out of control in the backyard. When I began
tightening up the galvanized wire, I noticed that one of my end supporting poles
was bending inward as I hadn't cemented it in the ground far enough. Ok, I then
had to clip the wire at one end to dismantle the trellis until I could buy and
put another pole a full 3' in the ground. Thankfully I left enough extra wire on
each trellis wire to have enough to do this. When the new pole was planted
firmly in the ground, I then ran all of the wire back into place and found that
one (out of the eight "One Way Anchors" malfunctioned and wouldn't hold the wire
second time around. I had ordered two extras so I had to replace one of them,
otherwise I would have given this product 5 stars. I still believe that it's an
excellent anchor 'IF' you get everything right the first time around and have
your trellis poles deep into the ground and able to withstand the necessary
pressure of tightening up the wire. Yes, I will buy these again when my
raspberry crop expands.

These little trellis anchors are great! I had a slight problem because I used 9
gauge plastic coated wire and had to strip the plastic off because it became
jammed. Use uncoated wire and the vises will work great.
