WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT REBIND

I've been reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra on Rebind, and it's magical. It's
suddenly difficult to imagine reading without having this ongoing discussion
where I can ask a hundred questions.

Nishant

Rebind Reader

I am suddenly seeing what I was missing, marveling at the explosive possibility
of interacting in these discussions. I didn't realize how organic the
interactions can be. I only had to make one comment, read the response and then
follow up, and all of a sudden I was learning unexpected things.

William

Rebind Reader

This is the most creative and interesting book-related AI tech I’ve seen so far,
and I’m happy to see big-name authors leading by example with their openness to
exploring generative uses of this technology.

Rebecca Joines Schinsky

Chief of Staff at Book Riot

There are a collection of books that are a little intimidating because I never
approached them or spent time with them. Having this guided experienced with
great context through video and an AI personality to chat with really helps with
that.

Tyler

Rebind Reader

I felt like this was the best parts of a literature course, where you get the
knowledge of someone who has really studied the text without the drain of having
to write a paper at the end. For me, this is really kind of perfect.

Anne

Rebinder Reader

Rebind’s use of AI to honor and preserve classic literature —and facilitate our
appreciation of reading these quintessential texts with personalized
analysis—seems like a worthwhile exploration.

Ronit Novak

The Grain

The discussion encouraged me to continue reading, nudging me to the next
chapter.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is Rebind?

Rebind is an e-reading experience like no other. Rebind makes it possible to
read a great book with the most remarkable person you could imagine reading
with. As you read with Rebind, you will get to watch films that orient and
prepare you for the reading journey ahead. And, more radically, you’ll
experience book club-style conversations infused with original Rebinder
commentary—passionate experts, guides, and companions—at pivotal moments of the
book.

Think of Rebind like a mindfulness app for deep reading, guided by the world’s
most interesting people. Rebind challenges you to engage with a book in a whole
new way.

What technology does Rebind use?

Rebind records original commentary and then uses AI to distribute that
commentary into interactive conversations with readers in our e-reading web
experience. Think of it as AI-chat infused with original, expert content. Rebind
uses AI to find the intersection between your own reading of a text and the
commentator’s deeply personal interpretations (“Rebinder”) for a more authentic
AI experience that sounds nothing you’ve ever heard before.

How can Rebind help me?

Rebind is the antidote to the superficial reading we all find ourselves
inundated with. We all know what it’s like to read a book while absorbing very
little of it and, on the other hand, we know the feeling of connecting to a
great book and absorbing the richness of each and every word. Rebind is all
about facilitating the latter. When you read deeper, ask questions, and write
down your own thoughts, a book will be written on your heart for the rest of
your life.

Who are Rebinders?

Rebinders help you find or recapture the joy of reading. These commentators are
among the most talented and influential voices in the world. Rebinders are
authors, actors, educators, and philosophers—united by a passion for books and a
commitment to sharing their favorites with you.

Prepare to read each section by viewing original films from the Rebinder
enriched with personal anecdotes, historical context, and reflections. Then,
take time to read, highlight and react to passages you love or confuse you. At
the end of each section you’ll enter into an AI discussion with the Rebinder’s
commentary that they’ve provided for that specific section. Think of it as
bouncing your own ideas off those of the Rebinder, be spurred on by the
Rebinder’s deep insights to write about where the book connects or departs from
your own personal beliefs and experiences.

What’s happening behind the scenes in the AI chat window?

It all starts with real life conversations. In an extensive interviewing
process, we ask Rebinders everything you could possibly imagine about a book and
why they love it—from helpful historical context to what they imagine a
character to be thinking.

Until now, this kind of informal discussion has been impossible to share with
general readers. But with AI we can find the most relevant parts of our
interview to meet you where you are and to use generative AI to connect your
thoughts to the Rebinder’s and vice versa. Think of it as bouncing ideas off one
another.
