Marked the birth year of Shemaroo


1976

Started a business in Video Libraries


1987

Pioneered the distribution of Home Video Rights in India


1993

Forayed in to the broadcast syndication business


2001

Shemaroo becomes an integrated media content house with the commencement of
Digital Post Production Facilities. Shemaroo House at Marol, Andheri inaugurated
by Gangaben Hirji Shah, mother of Buddhichand, Raman and Atul Maroo.


2003

Entered the global market with overseas distribution of films


2009

Entered digital distribution across multiple platforms like IPTV, VOD, Mobile,
Internet


2014

Company went public and got listed under the NSE & BSE


2015

Entered into a strategic partnership with Contentino Media for inflight
entertainment.


2018

Launched a brand new identity with the tagline ‘India Khush Hua’


2019

Ventured into the OTT industry- ShemarooMe. Forayed into the pre- loaded audio
speaker market.


2020

Forayed into the broadcast business with Shemaroo MarathiBana & Shemaroo TV
