Donald Trump was born on June 14, 1946 in the borough of Queens, New York. His
father Fred Trump, of German origin, is a wealthy real estate developer. His
mother Mary Anne Mac Leod is Scottish.
American businessman, billionaire and real estate tycoon, he entered politics
late (2015), he is the 45th president of the United States (2017-2021). "Make
America Great Again" (MAGA) was the slogan with which he succeeded Barack Obama,
after beating his Democratic competitor Hillary Clinton.
His term as president, from 2017 to 2021, was marked by divisive decisions: the
withdrawal from the Paris climate accords, the trade war with China, a strict
