Affordable Connectivity Program: The Federal Government’s Affordable
Connectivity Program (ACP) operated by the FCC reduces Internet charges for
qualifying low-income households with a one per household benefit up to $30/mo.
or up to $75/mo. for residents of Tribal Lands. ACP eligibility requirements,
how to enroll and plans that may be free with the benefit can be found at
optimum.com/acpinternet. Bulk internet and commercial accounts excluded. Terms,
conditions and restrictions apply. Free Internet claim is based on Internet
tiers priced $30 or less. Credit will be applied to qualified and active
customer accounts until the ACP expires, at which time customers will be
responsible for full payment of the monthly bill at our then current rates and
regular terms and conditions. This benefit is portable to and from other
participating providers but is not transferable to other individuals or
households. Nonpayment of monthly bill may result in service suspension and/or
downgrade.

Eligible households can qualify for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) if
someone in your household meets one of the following criteria, which are based
on Federal Government rules:
* Receives SNAP/food stamps, Medicaid or eligible to participate in another one
of the FCC’s Lifeline qualifying programs
* Receives Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
Children (WIC) benefit
* Receives free or reduced-price school lunch or breakfast through the National
School Lunch Program (NSLP)
* Enrolled in a school that offers free school breakfast and lunch to all
students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) — most New York
City public schools qualify!
* Federal Pell Grant recipient in the current award year
* Gross annual household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty
Guidelines

1. Verify you’re eligible according to Federal Government guidelines by
getting approval from the National Verifier. Make sure the person who
gets verified is the Optimum account owner.
2. Get Optimum Internet service. Shop Now. If you’re already a customer,
move on to Step 3.
3. Complete our application to enroll and apply the ACP credit to your
Optimum account. We’ll let you know the status of your application within

functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they
immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can
browse and operate your site effectively. Here’s how our website covers some of
the most important screen-reader requirements:

1. Screen-reader optimization: we run a process that learns the website’s
components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when
updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with

schemes of titles, texts, and backgrounds with over seven different coloring
options.
3. Animations – epileptic users can stop all running animations with the click
of a button. Animations controlled by the interface include videos, GIFs,
and CSS flashing transitions.
4. Content highlighting – users can choose to emphasize essential elements such
as links and titles. They can also choose to highlight focused or hovered
elements only.
5. Audio muting – users with hearing devices may experience headaches or other
issues due to automatic audio playing. This option lets users mute the
entire website instantly.
6. Cognitive disorders – we utilize a search engine linked to Wikipedia and
Wiktionary, allowing people with cognitive disorders to decipher meanings of
phrases, initials, slang, and others.
7. Additional functions – we allow users to change cursor color and size, use a
printing mode, enable a virtual keyboard, and many other functions.

Assistive technology and browser compatibility

We aim to support as many browsers and assistive technologies as possible, so
our users can choose the best fitting tools for them, with as few limitations as
possible. Therefore, we have worked very hard to be able to support all major
systems that comprise over 95% of the user market share, including Google
Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Opera and Microsoft Edge, JAWS, and NVDA
(screen readers), both for Windows and MAC users.
