HUMAN RIGHTS

As New Yorkers, we all have a role to play in creating a city where everyone can
live, work, and thrive - together.

Take the pledge and do your part to foster an inclusive city free from
discrimination.

COMMISSION RELEASES NEW FACTSHEET

Students attending schools and universities in New York City have the same
protections under the City's Human Rights Law as anyone who lives in, works in,
or visits NYC.

New Commission Podcast

"Rights Here. Right Now" airs on WCHR 90.3 FM on the last Monday of every month,
from 2:00 - 3:00pm. Commission staff discuss different facets of the city’s
Human Rights Law live on the air and answer questions New Yorkers have about
discrimination in employment, housing, and public spaces.

It’s illegal for landlords, brokers, and realtors to refuse renters because they
have a voucher. Vouchers pay. Discrimination doesn't.

The NYC Human Rights Law now protects individuals that live in, work in, or
visit New York City from discrimination based on their height or weight, or the
combination of height and weight, referred to as "body size."
