ABOUT THE OWNERS

Smokey’s Stoves was established in 1976 by Gene Bradley and wife Trudy. Gene,
better known to Grants Pass as “Smokey”, began installing woodstoves and
cleaning chimneys throughout Jackson and Josephine County he installed for
several stove dealers and the general public. He gained extensive knowledge of
his industry by attending classes and seminars provided by the Hearth industry.
Smokey had a knack for getting hard jobs done, and his attention to customer
service soon had them entering the retail market and opening their own store
after operating out of a service van and garage the first couple years they
opened a small store on Rogue River HWY beside Bev’s piano and organ. Gene &
Trudy have grown Smokey’s Stoves into a well loved hometown family business
offering a full line of hearth products and take pride in keeping their
customers safe and warm.

installation in Josephine and Jackson Counties. For your convenience, we do all
of our own stove installations which means you won’t have to work with multiple
companies to purchase and install your wood, gas, oil, or pellet stove. We
service the Residential, Commercial, Real Estate, and New Construction markets.
With two locations featuring dozens of stoves, fireplaces, and inserts, we have
what you need to make an informed decision on your new home heating appliance.

DAN

Store Manager

Dan has been in the industry for 28 years. He is the previous President of the
Oregon Chimney Sweep Association and current Vice President of the Oregon Hearth
Products Association. 



AMY

Receptionist

Amy handles the scheduling and invoicing. She has gained a lot of knowledge of
all hearth products and loves to help customers. Amy enjoys going to the coast
and exploring the Southern Oregon area.

FREEWAY

Sales Associate

Freeway, yes this is his legal name, helps with customers and does a bit of
everything around smokey’s. Freeway likes to make sure customers are well taken
care of and get the product right for them.



SUNNY

Lead Chimney Technician

Sunny is Smokey’s grandson. He is head chimney sweep who has been with us since
he was 16. Sunny has vast knowledge in wood, gas, and pellet appliances, and
loves solving the hard service calls. 

KORY

Lead Service Technician

Kory is extremely knowledgeable on gas, wood, and pellet stoves. He is our
resident expert in troubleshooting hearth appliances and many local companies
have their customers contact us to have him come out.



BIGFOOT

Head Squatch

Bigfoot enjoys working in the background, out of the public eye. How do you
think we move these heavy wood stoves around? You just might see him if you stop
by our shop.


GRANTS PASS TEAM

SHAUN

Office Manager

Shaun keeps the showroom in order and keeps every customer extremely happy with
their experience at Smokey’s. When purchasing a stove, you can expect to talk
with Shaun.



JOHN

Store Manager

John keeps everyone on their toes and enjoys Rogue Roasters coffee. He is the
first to arrive every morning and the last to leave.

JERRY

Customer Service & Sales

Jerry is a valuable addition to our office team. If you were hoping to receive
friendly service at Smokey’s Stoves then you will not be disappointed in our
man.



TABATHA

Office Secretary

Tabatha keeps the service schedule full for the crews. If you are looking to
schedule an appointment, you can expect to talk to her.

MIKE

Technical Support

Mike knows the most about the technical aspects of stove installs and service.
He moved on from field work and now stays in the office to do technical support
when a customer or crew member has questions.



ZACH

Service Technician

Zach assists our lead installers and service techs where needed. He is a hard
worker dedicated to your comfort and safety.

SHEA

Lead Stove Installer

Shea makes sure these stoves are installed correctly the first time so he runs a
tight ship. Most likely you will see Shea installing your new stove.



JEREMY

Lead Stove Installer

Jeremy installs stoves in both Jackson and Josephine Counties. He is
cross-trained to provide service on gas and pellet stoves as well. He enjoys all
things outdoors in his time off.

DEAN

Lead Service Technician

Dean primarily does service calls on gas stoves. He is often requested by
customers to be the one to return for future service.



DANNY

Lead Service Technician

Danny has been with Smokey’s since the beginning and knows the ins and outs of
every stove we come across.

DILLAN

Lead Chimney Sweep

Dillan is Smokey’s grandson and purveyor of excellent chimney service. He does a
thorough job on every service call he attends to.



JESSE

Field Support Technician

Jesse has in depth knowledge in electrical components of gas and pellet stoves.
He is a superb asset to our Lead Field Technicians.

IAN

Chimney Sweep

Ian does a great job making sure your wood fireplace and chimney is clean and in
tip top shape. We find he is dedicated to and enthusiastic about handling the
task at hand.



ART

Independent Pellet Tech

Art loves to drop in a few times a week to catch up and tell old stories. He
puts his knowledge to work in the pellet stove world. Sells used certified
reconditioned pellet stoves.
