Every season, the Gear Foundation proudly allocates $5000 to the winning team of
our hackathon. This substantial prize serves as both recognition of their
outstanding achievements and a catalyst for further growth. With a thrilling
"1st place takes it all" approach, teams compete fiercely to claim the coveted
title.

The winner is determined through a rigorous evaluation process conducted by
internal judges on the much-anticipated presentation day of each season. Final
score is based on technical implementation of the dApp & its use case.

To be eligible for the competition, participants must adhere to our main rule:
their smart-contract code must compile flawlessly and operate seamlessly on the
Vara testnet. This requirement ensures that submissions are not only innovative
but also practical, showcasing the true potential of Vara Network.

If there's no winner [poor code quality/eligibility criteria weren't met] judges
committee and Gear Foundation have a right to split the season's reward pool
1) between worthy projects OR 2) redirect the season prize pool to the next
season, increasing the prize pool for the upcoming season.

Thanks to our valued infra partners, we have additional rewards for the track
winners. The specific allocation of these rewards is decided by our esteemed
infra partners, as they evaluate the exceptional projects presented. While there
might not be a winner in every track, the recognition and support provided by
our infra partners are invaluable in nurturing groundbreaking solutions.

The Vara Hackathon is more than just a competition; it's a celebration of
creativity, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas. We invite developers,
innovators, and blockchain enthusiasts from all corners of the globe to join us
in this thrilling journey of pushing boundaries, unlocking possibilities, and
driving the future of decentralized technology.
