OUR FOCUS

WHY SUSTAINABLE BLOCKCHAIN?

Blockchain has the potential to play a significant role in addressing climate
change and promoting sustainability. For example, blockchain-based solutions can
be used to track and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, promote the use of
renewable energy, and improve the transparency and efficiency of supply chain
management. We're here to help you explore and utilize this technology for good.

 

OUR MISSION

WHAT IS THE CLUB ABOUT?

We provide a platform for HKU students to learn about and engage with blockchain
technology within the framework of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
Students get to collaborate on projects, attend talks and workshops, and
participate in hackathons and other competitive events.

MEMBER GATHERING

ZOOM, 5 JAN 2023

In our first Zoom gathering, Carbonbase's CEO, Max Song, introduced us to the
world of crypto and the megatrends shaping the future of Hong Kong.

SUSTAINABLE BLOCKCHAIN SEMINAR: EXPLORING THE INTERSECTION BETWEEN BLOCKCHAIN
AND ENVIRONMENTALISM

TO BE DETERMINED

This seminar will explore the ways in which blockchain can be used to promote
sustainability, such as through the use of blockchain-based supply chain
tracking systems and carbon credits.





BLOCKCHAIN FOR SOCIAL GOOD HACKATHON

TO BE DETERMINED

This hackathon will bring together students from various disciplines to develop
blockchain-based solutions to social and environmental challenges. Teams will
present their projects to a panel of judges at the end of the event.





OPEN OFFICE WITH SUSTAINABLE BLOCKCHAIN START-UP

TO BE DETERMINED

This event will feature an open office with a sustainable blockchain start-up,
where students can ask questions and learn about the company's work in the
field.





INTERVIEW WITH SUCCESSFUL BLOCKCHAIN FOUNDER

TO BE DETERMINED

This event will feature an interview with a successful blockchain founder, who
will share their experiences and insights on the industry.





INTRO TO BLOCKCHAIN FOR BEGINNERS

TO BE DETERMINED

This training course will provide an introduction to blockchain technology for
students who are new to the field. Topics will include the basics of blockchain,
its applications, and its potential impact on various industries.
