THROUGH THE GLASS SENSOR

The unique real-time sensing system uses a through-glass sensor to directly
measure surface temperature 20 times per second. This ensures the quickest

PROBE CONTROL™

Probe Control™ drives the cooker to reach and hold your desired ingredient
temperature. Works great for sauces, sugar work, poaching and more. The
integrated probe can also be used in thermometer mode to monitor the core
temperature of solid foods like steaks, cutlets, and filets.

Probe Control™ oil automatically adjusts power when deep frying to return to the
set temperature without overshooting.

HEAT INTENSITY CONTROL

The heat intensity control allows you to adjust the intensity while keeping the

BREVILLE/POLYSCIENCE CONTROL FREAK

Best culinary investment I have ever made. Perfect results everytime. Am
beyond pleased with the quality of this cooker. No guesswork involved. There
are far too many tasks and operations offered to express! I hope to purchase
two more in the future. Temperature accuracy. Probe. WOW! You could not be
disappointed with this induction cooker.

THE NAME SAID IT ALL

I love this Induction cooktop! It has all great features though I have not
used them all yet. I've cooked steaks, stir fries, boil and the the stable
temperature allow the food cooked perfectly. Easy clean up and a beautiful
machine.

EXCELLENT!

This machine is a cook's dream! I use it all the time. With its handsome
shiny black glass top, the surface supports with ease the heaviest of my
heavy-gauge All-Clad water-filled pots; it boils water in a flash, is easy
to clean, and best of all, it heats to, and remains at, the precise
temperature as selected by the chef. From the most temperamental of sauces
to the best fried chicken, or simply boiling big pots of water for cooking
pasta, this smart, Control-Freak Induction Cooker, is a worthwhile
investment. I would suggest leaving it out and on the counter, all the time.
It also comes with a professional carrying bag, which I suppose is good for
when doing a food show, which I'm not. I'm an accomplished home cook.

Don’t be afraid to use *NON-SCRATCH* kitchen scrubby sponges to clean, along
with a household degreasing solution.

You will get the BEST sear ever on your steaks. Have fun!

THE CONTROL FREAK IS AN IDEAL PORTABLE COOKTOP FOR TRAVELERS AND PERSONAL
CHEFS.

I have been using a portable induction cooktop for several years while
traveling and sponsoring small cooking demonstrations, but felt that the
Control Freak precision cooktop that not only accurately controls the
temperature of the pots or pans, but also could accurately control the
temperature of liquids or oil would better fit my needs. I have been very
impressed with these features and have been able to use the cooktop as a
backup sous vide and deep fat fryer. The included storage/carry case add
additional portability to the cooktop. The quality of the cooktop materials
and finish are first rate. Although the Control Freak does not come cheap, I
feel that it will be well worth it in the long run.

NO COMPLAINTS, JUST PERFECTION!

Bought this in lieu of an induction range. This is an excellent product!
Cooks flawlessly, is fast, and is easy to keep clean. It's sturdy and can
withstand the weight of my heaviest Dutch oven pots, even when filled with
water for pasta. It may not be scratch proof, so Breville should not show a
video of a chef shaking a pan back and forth across the glass. I leave it
out on the counter, as it is also handsome. Love it!

BREVILLE CONTROL FREAK

I live in an apartment where my range does not work. I find the unit effect
for saute and simmering. It can boil water up to two quarts of water. In
order to get 2.5 quarts of water to a rolling boil will take specific sauce
pans. I found the kirkland signautre line with thick magnetic steel bottoms
work the best, better than the all clad and the demeyere. At 1800 watts, I
don't expect it to handle large volumes of water but .....I wish it could be
engineered in a way that it could handle at least 3 -4 quarts to a rolling
boil with any pot.
Inspite of it short coming, boiling water, I would recommend this unit
especially if you live in an apartment or are tired of overprice poor
performing electric ranges.

6 STARS!

I am not a chef, I'm a recently retired commercial pilot exploring the world
of cooking. The concept of precision temperature control was new to me. On
an impulse I purchased the Control Freak. Immediately, I was amazed at the
difference being able to control your cook down to the degree made! I never
realized how important a few degrees was in the ease and outcome of the
cook. The ability to change your temperature by a single degree and hold it
without fumbling with the gas or electricity is a game changer. The
programability of the unit makes repeating routine cooks a joy. I'm not
prone to falling in love with machines but this device is testing me. I saw
a review where someone posted a video of an annoying sound their pans made
while heating up. I use Fissler pans and the only sound I hear is the fans
on the machine. Awesome machine Breville!
