A Word From One of Our Founders

Spanning over a 20-year career, I was Managing Director of Trading for a top
U.S. Bank, where I managed portfolios of government and agency bonds. As a
market maker, I was buying and selling to and for large institutions.

September 11, 2001 was a pivotal day in my career. I was talking on the phone
with a friend that worked in the World Trade Center North Tower when the first
plane struck the building. Unfortunately, myself and others lost many friends
that awful day – one that changed the world forever.

One thing I learned over many years in business was that large companies had a
significant advantage and a loud voice in the marketplace. The little guy seemed
to get the short end of the stick where their voices were largely unheard. This
is especially true today. Inflation is crushing ordinary people. Whether it be
affording life necessities like groceries, rent, utilities, gas, people are
struggling to make things work financially. Yet it seems most of our government
leaders are more focused on assisting foreign countries than helping its own
citizens thrive.

The first three words of the U.S. Constitution are, “We the people”. The
government is supposed to get its power from the people. The people’s voices are
supposed to be heard. The Framers intended for equality to be preserved among
all citizens, entitling everyone to the same rights and privileges. Every man or
woman is a king or queen, but nobody wears a crown.

In the Declaration of Independence, it was so wisely stated, “We hold these
truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed
by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.”

Our founding fathers would be proud of WBN because it was built to amplify the
voice of the average citizen. I am proud to be one of the many founders of WBN.
We share a common belief that there needs to be more good in the world. Through
WBN, we can create more good by returning a balance of power to the people. WBN
is the token of the people, by the people, for the people.
