He is one of few (if any) guides in the area with a 3-year arctic travel and guide education, and he has a lot of experience within the field of arctic outdoor life, safety, and travel. As a local Norwegian that have been using nature around Tromsø since he was a child, he delivers authentic experiences taking you to some of his favorite spots in the area. We hunt clear skies, that means that on some days we have to move around for the best chance. Don't worry, we´ll check the forecast for you, and local knowledge is priceless. PHOTOGRAPHY We have a few years of experience with northern lights and nature photography, and we always bring a camera when we are out. We know the good spots and we´ll throw in some helpful tips & tricks along the way. ARCTIC HIKING There are plenty of hiking opportunities in the north - mostly only a stone's throw away from a city. We will adapt the terrain and pace to the group, and we´ll bring snowshoes if necessary. We promise you a good walk and a nice view. SCOTT Fantastic! Due to safety concerns we traveled a bit further away. Drive was very scenic. Saw more reindeer than people even.The hike was challenging enough, great exercise. Great conversation, great views, and just a wonderful experience overall. Well worth the extremely affordable price. I would highly recommend. Thank you! SWITCHEDONBACKPACKER His love and passion for chasing the Northern Lights is infectious and because I went with Reidar in his car, we were able to go to some secluded spots to find the Northern Lights. It's a no wonder he has a 90% success rate in finding the lights DIEGO I would definitely recommend Reidar as a guide. He is a really nice person with good experience in outdoor activities in the area. Thank you Reidar for this unforgettable experience ! MAELISS it was fantastic! Reidar made sure we would be able to see the northern lights, so he picked us up earlier than planned and drove us farther than planned! he was very kind and friendly, we spent the night talking around the bonfire with some hot soup and a cup of tea, it was truly perfect! even if the northern lights that night weren't very bright, I still had a wonderful evening! if I come back again to Tromso I'll make sure to book a night with Reidar, that's for sure!
