COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides a comprehensive overview of Social Security, Medicare and
Medicaid programs. It was designed to help insurance producers navigate through
the maze of programs, rules and regulations that affect many - if not all - of
your aging Baby Boomer clients, their spouses and dependents.

The course outlines strategies to maximize Social Security benefits, reduce the
taxation of those benefits and determine the payment levels of Social Security
Disability Insurance. It explores Social Security benefits for spouses,
surviving spouses, children, and women's retirement benefits. It also examines
the features, benefits and costs of Medicare Parts A, B and D, Medicare
Advantage Plans (Part C), and Medicare Supplemental Insurance Plans. The course
concludes with a discussion of and Medicaid, including coverage and eligibility
requirements, treatment of income and assets, and planning with Trusts and
annuities.
