The Society for the Study of Occupation (SSO: USA) is a dynamic research society
dedicated to advancing occupational science and leveraging its findings for the
betterment of humanity. Our mission is to foster the growth and dissemination of
knowledge in the field, driving meaningful insights into the diverse ways in
which individuals engage in occupations across the lifespan. By promoting
interdisciplinary collaboration and supporting rigorous research, we aim to
unlock the transformative power of occupation in promoting health, well-being,
and social justice.

COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION

SSO:USA is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our
discipline and communities. Since our 2020 Virtual Event, "Racial Equity in
Occupational Science: A Virtual Conversation for Strategy-Building," we have
been discussing ideas and developing action plans to address societal
injustices. Our most recent directive includes the creation of an Ad-Hoc
