of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.” Composer Hans Zimmer's complete
score, featuring Klaus Badelt & Hans Zimmer’s iconic music, will be performed
live to the film, promising an unforgettable cinematic and symphonic fusion.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L’Opéra by
Gaston Leroux, set in magnificent Paris in the 19th century, tells the tale of a
musical genius known only as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris
Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano –
Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with
her. Unaware of Christine’s love for Raoul, the Phantom’s obsession sets the
scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions
collide.

characteristics, the company has found a successful path for the development of
Chinese ballet. Its many original ballets have already been known as classic

Matteo Bocelli will be performing at Dubai Opera on December 21st, 2023, for an
unforgettable night of music. After gaining recognition with his first single
release, "Fall on Me," a duet with his father, Matteo is now set to release his
debut album titled "Matteo" on September 22nd, 2023. The album features a
captivating blend of English and Italian songs, with contributions from renowned
artists such as Ed Sheeran, PARISI, Jesse Shatkin, and Stuart Crichton.

Tinariwen
Dubai Opera is proud to present, Tinariwen, the multi-generational,
Grammy-winning Tuareg band for one memorable performance on 12 December. There
is a depth of feeling in Tinariwen’s music that is universal. But to really
understand the message of their songs, you need to understand where they’re
from. Tinariwen are Tuaregs, children of a nomadic Berber tribe who have roamed
the Saharan desert for thousands of years.

On December 1st 2023, Dubai Opera will mark an extraordinary cultural milestone:
the historic debut of the celebrated Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan
set to present a memorable gala concert titled “A Concert for Tomorrow.” The
concert aims to unite audiences in a powerful display of solidarity and hope in
support of the global effort to protect the planet and safeguard the well-being
of future generations. Timed during the 2023 United Nations Climate Change
Conference (COP 28), this exclusive artistic event will feature a spectacular
repertoire by Italian maestros such as Verdi Puccini and Mascagni. Conducted by
Michele Gamba, renowned for his close association with La Scala and recent
triumphs in New York and Washington, the event stars world-renowned soprano Aida
Garifullina and acclaimed tenor Piero Pretti.

Dubai Opera is proud to present the legendary prog rock band Jethro Tull for a
much-awaited concert on 24 November. Led by Ian Anderson, the concert will
feature a rich collection of the best-known Jethro Tull repertoire from 1968 to
date. Fans will recognize the key songs from various albums—songs which put
Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson on the map during these seven decades. Expect to
hear classics like Aqualung, Locomotive Breath, Bourée and Heavy Horses along
with tracks from the 2022 and 2023 Tull albums, The Zealot Gene and RökFlöte.

Ali Sethi is a Lahore-born Pakistani singer, songwriter, composer, and author
based in New York. Sethi rose to prominence with his debut novel, The Wish Maker
(2009). In 2012, he began focusing on his musical career, making his film debut
as a singer in Mira Nair's 2012 film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, with the
song Dil Jalane Ki Baat Karte Ho.
