The Economic Mobility Initiative (EMI) is your no-cost partner in starting and
growing your dream venture. We empower LA County small business owners,
entrepreneurs, and nonprofits by providing tailored support that helps you
thrive and build generational wealth in our communities.




TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
AND TRAINING

Offers focused training to small businesses, social enterprises, and nonprofits
on strengthening operations, certifications, winning contracts, employee-owned
business models, and more.


ACCESS TO CAPITAL
AND COMMERCIAL SPACE

Supports small businesses through two funds: one helps nonprofits purchase
vacant properties to rent to small business owners at affordable rates, and the
other offers flexible capital for starting or growing a business.


ENTREPRENEURSHIP
ACADEMIES

Provides curriculum-based education to early-stage business owners and
entrepreneurs. Participants can also access networking, mentorship, need-based
stipends, and ongoing support opportunities.
