WELCOME TO OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP CHURCH

Whether you are visiting from another parish, another city, renewing your faith
after an absence or just considering to return home to the Catholic Church, we
are pleased to have you visit our website. We also hope you will be able to come
and worship with us. Hopefully you will find our parish a source of spiritual
comfort and inspiration.

The church is open on Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with Daily
Mass at 12:10 p.m. (rosary at 11:50 a.m.). Masses are at 5 p.m. on Saturday and
9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Confession is heard on Saturday
between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. or by appointment. If your absence has been for a
while, you may find some things have changed during the celebration of Mass as
well as Holy Days of Obligation. While all Catholics are obliged to attend Mass
on Sundays, there are now just two additional Holy Days of Obligation in Canada
– Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) and Jan. 1 (Feast of Mary, Mother of God).

The wording of some of the prayers has changed, but by following the Mass using
the Sunday Missals found in the pews, you will feel “right at home”. You will
discover in-depth information on prayer, spirituality, sacraments and ministries
as well as details about our parish – staff biography, parish history, photos
from parish events, etc. You will also discover links to many wonderful
Catholic/Christian sites and organizations.

Prayer and Reflection Group for Healthcare Professionals
 
Are you a physician, nurse or other medical professional? OLPH Parish has a
prayer and reflection group for you!

Why? As health care professionals we are frequently confronted with diverse and
complex moral issues that can leave us unsure as to how, as a person of faith,
we should respond. 

What? As a group, we will support one another and explore these issues and the
meaning of suffering and human flourishing from the perspective of our faith.
Our conversations will be anchored by the use of scripture and other relevant
theological/philosophical texts. We will pray for one another and for the sick
we serve as well as their professional care-givers.

When and Where: Once a month after the Sunday 11 a.m. Mass (1.5 hours) | Parish
Hall

Who: Facilitated by Ann Sirek MD PhD. Ann has spent a life-time in the practice
of medicine (internal medicine/endocrinology) and has recently completed her
doctoral studies in theology.

Edge – Youth Ministry!

Edge is a program for children in grades 5-8, held on the last Thursday of every
month. Registration is ongoing and forms can be found at the back of the church;
please complete and return to Scott Samuel or e-mail scott@olphtoronto.com for

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Youth Ministry is pleased to announce the formation
of a youth band. We are currently looking for singers, guitarists, drummers,
bass players, string players, horn players and musicians of all kinds. This band
will be a community where OLPH youth will be free to casually jam, learn popular
songs and put on music showcase nights here at the parish.  Interested youth
musicians of all ages are encouraged to contact Scott
Samuel at scott@olphtoronto.com for further details.

held once a month on Thursdays at 10 a.m.

The New Parish Lift
I am pleased to inform you that the new lift is now fully approved and
operational. All the parish staff have keys to the lift and can assist you if
you need to use the lift. The parish ushers, along with other parishioners, will
be trained on its use so that there should always be a sufficient number of
people who can assist anyone needing to use it.
