MEET DR KAI PARKER

Dr. Parker received her premedical training at New York University, and
graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy.  She continued her medical studies at
Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she earned a Doctorate in
Naturopathic Medicine.  She later earned a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine from
the Maryland University of Integrative Health, where she has also served on the
Faculty of the Masters Programs in Nutrition and Therapeutic Herbalism and the
Post-Masters Program in Women's Holistic Health.

In addition to her medical school curriculum, Dr. Parker completed a four-year
preceptorship in Midwifery, Women's Health, and Naturopathic Pediatrics with Dr.
Farra Swan, ND, CPM in Tempe, Arizona and an internship in Midwifery at Casa de
Nacimiento in El Paso, TX. 

Dr. Parker is the most recent past president of the DC Association of
Naturopathic Physicians and the current Chairwoman of the Maryland Board of
Nursing Direct Entry Midwifery Advisory Committee.

Dr. Kai Parker is highly trained in the art and science of women’s health. She
provides gentle, loving care that meets the specialized needs of women
throughout their life cycle.



NATUROPATHIC PEDIATRICS

In this country, our children are becoming increasingly over-medicated.  As a
trained Primary Care Physician, Dr. Parker provides Naturopathic Pediatric Care
throughout childhood and adolescence. 



NATUROPATHIC MEDICINE

As a trained Primary Care Physician, Dr. Parker  provides Naturopathic Medical
Care for the whole family!  Focusing her treatment on the whole person - body,
mind, and spirit - she uses natural therapies to treat a wide range of acute and
chronic conditions. 

NATURAL CHILDBIRTH

Sagelight Integrative Wellness afford women and their families the rare
opportunity to experience the miracle of safe, gentle, and natural childbirth.
We enthusiastically support midwifery and homebirths because we understand that
women’s bodies are very wise and fully capable of ushering new life into this
world.
