ISA hosted the Curtain Raiser & Press Conference for the upcoming 5th Assembly
of the ISA in New Delhi.

DG ISA met H.E. Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High level Champion for
COP27 and explored possibilities for collaboration on capacity building, pvt
sector engagement and resource mobilisation.

DG- ISA hosted a delegation of US Congressional Staffers at ISA headquarters.

ISA signed an MOU with International Civil Aviation Organisation to work towards
enhancing the use of solar energy in international civil aviation.

ISA launched a workstream on Transforming Solar: Supply Chains at the Clean
Energy Ministerial in collaboration with International Renewable Energy Agency.
The initiative is focused on solar manufacturing around the world to meet
800-1000 GW of production by 2030 in a resilient, diversified way.

ISA launched a Corporate Advisory Group on the sidelines of the Clean Energy
Ministerial at Pittsburgh in the presence of Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of
Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce and solar world
leaders.

DG-ISA joined the inaugural meeting of the GEAPP Global Leadership Council in NY
during UNGA.

ISA convened the 7th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the ISA Assembly on 13
September 2022 in New Delhi, India. The Meeting was co-chaired by India as the
President of the ISA Assembly and France as its Co-President.

ISA hosted a webinar on “Vehicle Integrated PV Sector: Technical and Regulatory
Aspects” on 20 Sept. The discussions focussed on technical & regulatory
challenges encountered by the VIPV sector.

DG ISA met H.E. Kadri Simon, EU Commissioner for Energy, to discuss
incentivising solar PV manufacturing, diversifying supply chains, enhancing
investments to mitigate risks and finding solutions toward circularity of PV.

Bhutan ratified the Framework Agreement of ISA: Ambassador of Bhutan to India,
H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel handed over the instrument of ratification to
Secretary ER Mr Dammu Ravi, in the presence of DG-ISA.

USA ratified ISA’s Framework Agreement: Chargé D’Affaires, H.E. Patricia Lacina
handed over the instrument of ratification to AS(ER) Mr Prabhat Kumar and JS
(ED) Mr Noor Rahman Sheikh, Ministry of External Affairs, GOI.

ISA convened the 4th Regional Committee Meeting for the Africa region in Addis
Ababa, Ethiopia from 29-31 August 2022.

Republic of Panama signed the Framework Agreement of the International Solar
Alliance. Ambassador of Panama H.E. Yasiel Burillo signed and handed over the
ISA Framework Agreement to JS(ED) Mr Noor Rahman Sheikh, Ministry of External
Affairs, GOI in the presence of DG ISA, Dr Ajay Mathur.

Hon'ble President of ISA Assembly H.E. Mr R K Singh visited the ISA Secretariat:
The President was briefed in detail about the ongoing activities and key
initiatives, including the Blended Finance Facility, Global Solar Reports,
Regional Committee Meetings and the upcoming fifth ISA Assembly. The President
shared feedback and several inputs for future course of action.

ISA Headquarters: Lithuanian delegation visited ISA Secretariat to discuss
opportunities in solar, interconnected grids, strengthening storage solutions
and partnerships for a sustainable future.

ISA Headquarters: Hon'ble Patricia Scotland QC, Secretary-General of the
Commonwealth Secretariat met DG ISA to review the progress of collaborative
initiatives and determine the future course of action.

ISA Governance Meetings 2022: ISA convened the Fourth Regional Committee Meeting
for the Asia & Pacific Region virtually on 17 August. The Meeting saw
participation from 24 countries.

Bangladesh: ISA delegation visited Bangladesh for a technical country mission
and held a stakeholders’ consultation workshop to discuss Bangladesh’s
priorities & barriers in scaling up solar and identifying areas of mutual
interest.

Georgetown, Guyana: Leaders from 20 countries of the region gathered for the 4th
Meeting of ISA's Regional Committee of Latin America and the Caribbean Region to
accelerate the impact, using solar solutions, on the adverse effects caused by
climate change.

H.E. President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of
Guyana addressed the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA and expressed
that while the renewable pathway as part of global commitment is clear, it is
important to consider local realities and potentials.

In his remarks to the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA, Hon'ble Prime
Minister of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana Brigadier (ret’d) Mark Phillips
expressed his support for the Alliance and commitment to achieving a low carbon
economy and solar energy deployment in Guyana.

Standing Committee Meeting 2022: ISA convened the 6th Meeting of the Standing
Committee of the ISA Assembly on 21 July 2022 in New Delhi, India. India
co-chaired the meeting as the President of the ISA Assembly and France as its
Co-President.

ISA Headquarters: ISA was privileged to host Rt Hon Alok Sharma, COP26
President, at ISA Headquarters. Discussions focused on the success and progress
of ISA initiatives and GGI-OSOWOG.

ISA Secretariat: DG ISA met representatives from Children's Investment Fund
Foundation (CIFF) to strengthen partnership in building capacity, projects,
monitoring, evaluation and advocacy for solarisation.

Capacity Building: DG ISA welcomed and interacted with the ISA Fellows’ batch
(2020-2022) at ISA Headquarters under ISA Fellowship Program for Mid-Career
Professionals of ISA Member Countries.

ISA Governance Meetings 2022: ISA convened the Third Regional Committee Meeting
for the Europe & Others Region on 12th July. The meeting was chaired by the
Kingdom of the Netherlands and representatives from 20 Countries of Europe &
Others region including USA participated.

ISA Secretariat: DG ISA had a discussion with representatives from Multilateral
Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) on areas of collaboration.

Capacity Building: ISA conducted the third batch of Online Training Program for
Scaling Solar Application for Agriculture Use from 4-8 July with delegates from
27 Member Countries representing Africa, APAC and LAC Regions.

Capacity Building: ISA and West African Power Pool (WAPP) hosted the first joint
training on ground mounted and floating solar PV from 27 June – 1 July with 295
nominations from 14 countries. The training aims to provide technical expertise
across the lifecycle of large-scale solar PV projects sector including floating
solar projects.

ISA @ LCAW 2022: ISA held a roundtable on Blended Finance Risk Mitigation
Facility as a part of London Climate Action Week 2022 on June 30. Experts did a
deep dive into the type of financing instruments, sizing & structuring of the
fund, risk appetite of the solar projects and ISA’s project pipeline.

Tech for Solar, Solar for Tech webinar on 30 June 2022 engaged with the
technology ecosystem to discuss how solar can play a key role in strengthening
their transition plans & how digitisation can make energy systems more efficient
and effective.

ISA @ LCAW 2022: ISA organized 2nd Investors Meeting in London during London
Climate Action Week where World Resources Institute, CONCITO, Climate Policy
Initiative, World Climate Foundation came together to discuss the $1 Trillion
Roadmap for creating conditions for an expanded flow of institutional capital
into Solar Energy globally.

ISA @ ACEF: ISA in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB) hosted a side
event workshop on 'Green Hydrogen for Net Zero' at the Asia Clean Energy Forum
2022. Experts from Green Hydrogen Organization, HDF Energy, ACCIONA, Total
Energies, Larsen and Toubro attended the event.

Capacity Building: ISA, European Union and Government of France launched
projects to support ISA’s Capacity Building initiatives. The projects will give
ISA Member Countries an edge to build capacity through Solar Technology
Application Resource Centres (STAR-C) and deepen the cooperation between the
solar energy related businesses, academic networks, and financial institutions.

ISA Cares : ISA signs MOU with Health Innovation and Investment Exchange
Association (HIEx) to promote the use of solar energy for sustainable
development with a focus on SDG3: Good Health and Well-Being.

ISA Headquarters: ISA hosted Indian Foreign Service Officer Trainees (2021
batch) and Bhutanese diplomats at ISA headquarters. Officers showed keen
interest in ISA's governance structure, programs and work in progress.

ISA Solar Compass Journal Launch: ISA & Elsevier launched the first issue of ISA
Solar Compass Journal virtually. DG ISA, Dr. Ajay Mathur, Dr. Yogi Goswami,
Editor in Chief and the Editorial Board presented their remarks and took a
collective step forward towards achieving ISA's objective.

ISA Headquarters: ISA hosted media delegation from Maldives as part of the
familiarization programme organized by Ministry of External Affairs, GOI to help
the journalists gain insights on ISA's activities.

New Delhi: DG ISA had a wonderful meeting with H.E. Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador of
the Republic of Korea to India. DG invited Korea to join the ISA and discussed
areas of collaboration in the field of Solar Energy.

ISA Secretariat: DG ISA met H.E. Ms Mukangira Jacqueline, High Commissioner of
Rwanda to India to discuss scaling up Solar Street Lighting & Solar Mini Grid in
Rwanda.

New Delhi: DG ISA and H.E. Ms. Tizita Mulugeta Yiman, Ambassador of Ethiopia,
Embassy of Ethiopia met to discuss and plan ISA's upcoming Regional Committee
Meeting for Africa region in Ethiopia.

New Delhi: DG ISA and team met with (Asian Development Bank) ADB delegation to
discuss areas of partnership discuss synergistic areas of collaboration
including Blended Finance Risk Mitigation Facility, TA facility and the startup
ecosystem.

Ethiopia, Adis Ababa: ISA participated in the event on Distributed Renewable
Energy-Agriculture Modalities (DREAM) Irrigation project briefing organized by
Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute on 20 May 2022.

ISA Headquarters: ISA & the Government of Japan, JBIC, JICA, NEDO sign A
Memorandum of Cooperation in the solar energy field at ISA Headquarters. This
Memorandum of Cooperation will help establish a framework - encouraging and
promoting concrete multilateral cooperation among all participants in renewable
energy based on mutual benefit, equality, and reciprocity.

ISA Headquarters: DG ISA welcomed delegation led by H.E. Mr Alejandro Simancas
Marín, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba at ISA Headquarters. The discussions
were focused on the implementation of 1150 MW Solar PV projects in Cuba and
demonstration projects for Solar pumping systems for agriculture.

Kigali: ISA & World Resources Institute (WRI) announced the Solar Investment
roadmap for mobilizing $ 1 trillion for scaling solar at the SEforALL Global
Forum 2022. The Roadmap will launch in COP27.

Kigali: DG ISA facilitated discussions at the Asian-Pacific Ministerial
Roundtable on Scaling-up Financing of the Energy Transition during SEforALL
Global Forum 2022. Discussions based on the financial architecture required to
scale-up investment in Asia Pacific for a clean and just Energy Transition.

Barcelona: ISA hosted a session on 'The Role of Solar Power-Shining a Light on
Green Hydrogen' at the Green Hydrogen Global Assembly 2022 in collaboration with
Green Hydrogen Organization. Discussions deliberated on the opportunities and
identified the demand for solar produced Green Hydrogen.

Delhi: ISA and NTPC welcomed Cuban delegation including the Cuban Ambassador
H.E. Alejandro Marin & UNE director Mr. Ovel Diaz to finalize upcoming 1150 MW
Solar Park RFQ.

Kigali: ISA hosted a roundtable on Exploring Financing Mechanism for Solarizing
Africa through a blended risk mitigation facility at the SEforAll Global Forum
2022.

New Delhi: DG, ISA met H.E. Mukangira Jacqueline, High Commissioner of Rwanda to
India to discuss about scaling up ISAs programs, financial activities and
support that can be extended to Rwanda in helping it achieve its Energy
Transition targets.

Capacity Building: Second batch of Online Training Program on Ground Mounted and
Floating Solar Projects launched. 169 candidates from 12 member countries of LAC
Region participated. As of April 2022, ISA has trained 1,774 individuals,
including mid-career professionals, bankers, master trainers and technicians, as
part of its capacity building services.

in areas of mutual concern by promoting use of Renewable Energy Technologies in

Paris Declaration on the International Solar Alliance of 30th November 2015

The launch of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) was announced by H.E. Mr.
Narendra Modi, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India and H.E. Mr. Francois
Hollande, former Hon’ble President of France on 30th November 2015, at the 21st
session of United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP-21) in
Paris, France. Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon attended the launch,
alongside the Heads of about 120 nations who affirmed their participation in the
Alliance to dedicate efforts for promotion of solar energy.

 * ISA launched a Corporate Advisory Group on the sidelines of the Clean Energy
   Ministerial at Pittsburgh in the presence of Marisa Lago, Under Secretary of
   Commerce for International Trade, U.S. Department of Commerce and solar world
   leaders.

 * DG-ISA joined the inaugural meeting of the GEAPP Global Leadership Council in
   NY during UNGA.

 * ISA convened the 7th Meeting of the Standing Committee of the ISA Assembly on
   13 September 2022 in New Delhi, India. The Meeting was co-chaired by India as
   the President of the ISA Assembly and France as its Co-President.

 * ISA hosted a webinar on “Vehicle Integrated PV Sector: Technical and
   Regulatory Aspects” on 20 Sept. The discussions focussed on technical &
   regulatory challenges encountered by the VIPV sector.

 * DG ISA met H.E. Kadri Simon, EU Commissioner for Energy, to discuss
   incentivising solar PV manufacturing, diversifying supply chains, enhancing

 * Bhutan ratified the Framework Agreement of ISA: Ambassador of Bhutan to
   India, H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel handed over the instrument of

 * USA ratified ISA’s Framework Agreement: Chargé D’Affaires, H.E. Patricia

 * ISA convened the 4th Regional Committee Meeting for the Africa region in

 * Republic of Panama signed the Framework Agreement of the International Solar
   Alliance. Ambassador of Panama H.E. Yasiel Burillo signed and handed over the
   ISA Framework Agreement to JS(ED) Mr Noor Rahman Sheikh, Ministry of External
   Affairs, GOI in the presence of DG ISA, Dr Ajay Mathur.

 * Hon'ble President of ISA Assembly H.E. Mr R K Singh visited the ISA
   Secretariat: The President was briefed in detail about the ongoing activities
   and key initiatives, including the Blended Finance Facility, Global Solar
   Reports, Regional Committee Meetings and the upcoming fifth ISA Assembly. The
   President shared feedback and several inputs for future course of action.

 * ISA Headquarters: Lithuanian delegation visited ISA Secretariat to discuss
   opportunities in solar, interconnected grids, strengthening storage solutions
   and partnerships for a sustainable future.

 * ISA Headquarters: Hon'ble Patricia Scotland QC, Secretary-General of the
   Commonwealth Secretariat met DG ISA to review the progress of collaborative
   initiatives and determine the future course of action.

 * ISA Governance Meetings 2022: ISA convened the Fourth Regional Committee
   Meeting for the Asia & Pacific Region virtually on 17 August. The Meeting saw
   participation from 24 countries.

 * Bangladesh: ISA delegation visited Bangladesh for a technical country mission
   and held a stakeholders’ consultation workshop to discuss Bangladesh’s
   priorities & barriers in scaling up solar and identifying areas of mutual
   interest.

 * Georgetown, Guyana: Leaders from 20 countries of the region gathered for the
   4th Meeting of ISA's Regional Committee of Latin America and the Caribbean
   Region to accelerate the impact, using solar solutions, on the adverse
   effects caused by climate change.

 * H.E. President Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of
   Guyana addressed the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA and expressed
   that while the renewable pathway as part of global commitment is clear, it is
   important to consider local realities and potentials.

 * In his remarks to the 4th Regional Committee Meeting of the ISA, Hon'ble
   Prime Minister of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana Brigadier (ret’d) Mark
   Phillips expressed his support for the Alliance and commitment to achieving a
   low carbon economy and solar energy deployment in Guyana.

 * Standing Committee Meeting 2022: ISA convened the 6th Meeting of the Standing
   Committee of the ISA Assembly on 21 July 2022 in New Delhi, India. India
   co-chaired the meeting as the President of the ISA Assembly and France as its
   Co-President.

 * ISA Headquarters: ISA was privileged to host Rt Hon Alok Sharma, COP26
   President, at ISA Headquarters. Discussions focused on the success and
   progress of ISA initiatives and GGI-OSOWOG.

 * ISA Secretariat: DG ISA met representatives from Children's Investment Fund
   Foundation (CIFF) to strengthen partnership in building capacity, projects,
   monitoring, evaluation and advocacy for solarisation.

 * Capacity Building: DG ISA welcomed and interacted with the ISA Fellows’ batch
   (2020-2022) at ISA Headquarters under ISA Fellowship Program for Mid-Career
   Professionals of ISA Member Countries.

 * ISA Governance Meetings 2022: ISA convened the Third Regional Committee
   Meeting for the Europe & Others Region on 12th July. The meeting was chaired
   by the Kingdom of the Netherlands and representatives from 20 Countries of
   Europe & Others region including USA participated.

 * ISA Secretariat: DG ISA had a discussion with representatives from
   Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) on areas of collaboration.

 * Capacity Building: ISA conducted the third batch of Online Training Program
   for Scaling Solar Application for Agriculture Use from 4-8 July with
   delegates from 27 Member Countries representing Africa, APAC and LAC Regions.

 * Capacity Building: ISA and West African Power Pool (WAPP) hosted the first
   joint training on ground mounted and floating solar PV from 27 June – 1 July
   with 295 nominations from 14 countries. The training aims to provide
   technical expertise across the lifecycle of large-scale solar PV projects
   sector including floating solar projects.

 * ISA @ LCAW 2022: ISA held a roundtable on Blended Finance Risk Mitigation
   Facility as a part of London Climate Action Week 2022 on June 30. Experts did
   a deep dive into the type of financing instruments, sizing & structuring of
   the fund, risk appetite of the solar projects and ISA’s project pipeline.

 * Tech for Solar, Solar for Tech webinar on 30 June 2022 engaged with the
   technology ecosystem to discuss how solar can play a key role in
   strengthening their transition plans & how digitisation can make energy
   systems more efficient and effective.

 * ISA @ LCAW 2022: ISA organized 2nd Investors Meeting in London during London
   Climate Action Week where World Resources Institute, CONCITO, Climate Policy
   Initiative, World Climate Foundation came together to discuss the $1 Trillion
   Roadmap for creating conditions for an expanded flow of institutional capital
   into Solar Energy globally.

 * ISA @ ACEF: ISA in collaboration with Asian Development Bank (ADB) hosted a
   side event workshop on 'Green Hydrogen for Net Zero' at the Asia Clean Energy
   Forum 2022. Experts from Green Hydrogen Organization, HDF Energy, ACCIONA,
   Total Energies, Larsen and Toubro attended the event.

 * Capacity Building: ISA, European Union and Government of France launched
   projects to support ISA’s Capacity Building initiatives. The projects will
   give ISA Member Countries an edge to build capacity through Solar Technology
   Application Resource Centres (STAR-C) and deepen the cooperation between the
   solar energy related businesses, academic networks, and financial
   institutions.

 * ISA Cares : ISA signs MOU with Health Innovation and Investment Exchange
   Association (HIEx) to promote the use of solar energy for sustainable
   development with a focus on SDG3: Good Health and Well-Being.

 * ISA Headquarters: ISA hosted Indian Foreign Service Officer Trainees (2021
   batch) and Bhutanese diplomats at ISA headquarters. Officers showed keen
   interest in ISA's governance structure, programs and work in progress.

 * ISA Solar Compass Journal Launch: ISA & Elsevier launched the first issue of
   ISA Solar Compass Journal virtually. DG ISA, Dr. Ajay Mathur, Dr. Yogi
   Goswami, Editor in Chief and the Editorial Board presented their remarks and
   took a collective step forward towards achieving ISA's objective.

 * ISA Headquarters: ISA hosted media delegation from Maldives as part of the
   familiarization programme organized by Ministry of External Affairs, GOI to
   help the journalists gain insights on ISA's activities.

 * New Delhi: DG ISA had a wonderful meeting with H.E. Chang Jae-bok, Ambassador
   of the Republic of Korea to India. DG invited Korea to join the ISA and
   discussed areas of collaboration in the field of Solar Energy.

 * ISA Secretariat: DG ISA met H.E. Ms Mukangira Jacqueline, High Commissioner
   of Rwanda to India to discuss scaling up Solar Street Lighting & Solar Mini
   Grid in Rwanda.

   Embassy of Ethiopia met to discuss and plan ISA's upcoming Regional Committee

 * ISA Headquarters: ISA & the Government of Japan, JBIC, JICA, NEDO sign A
   Memorandum of Cooperation in the solar energy field at ISA Headquarters. This
   Memorandum of Cooperation will help establish a framework - encouraging and
   promoting concrete multilateral cooperation among all participants in
   renewable energy based on mutual benefit, equality, and reciprocity.

 * ISA Headquarters: DG ISA welcomed delegation led by H.E. Mr Alejandro
   Simancas Marín, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba at ISA Headquarters. The
   discussions were focused on the implementation of 1150 MW Solar PV projects
   in Cuba and demonstration projects for Solar pumping systems for agriculture.

 * Kigali: ISA & World Resources Institute (WRI) announced the Solar Investment
   roadmap for mobilizing $ 1 trillion for scaling solar at the SEforALL Global
   Forum 2022. The Roadmap will launch in COP27.

 * Kigali: DG ISA facilitated discussions at the Asian-Pacific Ministerial
   Roundtable on Scaling-up Financing of the Energy Transition during SEforALL
   Global Forum 2022. Discussions based on the financial architecture required
   to scale-up investment in Asia Pacific for a clean and just Energy
   Transition.

 * Barcelona: ISA hosted a session on 'The Role of Solar Power-Shining a Light
   on Green Hydrogen' at the Green Hydrogen Global Assembly 2022 in
   collaboration with Green Hydrogen Organization. Discussions deliberated on
   the opportunities and identified the demand for solar produced Green
   Hydrogen.

 * Delhi: ISA and NTPC welcomed Cuban delegation including the Cuban Ambassador
   H.E. Alejandro Marin & UNE director Mr. Ovel Diaz to finalize upcoming 1150
   MW Solar Park RFQ.

 * Kigali: ISA hosted a roundtable on Exploring Financing Mechanism for
   Solarizing Africa through a blended risk mitigation facility at the SEforAll
   Global Forum 2022.

 * New Delhi: DG, ISA met H.E. Mukangira Jacqueline, High Commissioner of Rwanda
   to India to discuss about scaling up ISAs programs, financial activities and
   support that can be extended to Rwanda in helping it achieve its Energy
   Transition targets.

 * Capacity Building: Second batch of Online Training Program on Ground Mounted
   and Floating Solar Projects launched. 169 candidates from 12 member countries
   of LAC Region participated. As of April 2022, ISA has trained 1,774
   individuals, including mid-career professionals, bankers, master trainers and
   technicians, as part of its capacity building services.

 * Munich, Germany: ISA signed MOC with BSW-German Solar Association to
   cooperate in areas of mutual concern by promoting use of Renewable Energy
   Technologies in ISA Member Countries.

 * Munich, Germany: Mr. Alexander Hogeveen Rutter , Private Sector Specialist,
   ISA shared his views on bringing in private sector to achieve ISA's towards
   1000 goal at the Global Solar Associations workshop in Intersolar 2022.

 * To mark the International Women’s Day, ISA launched Bankers Training Program
   Exclusively for Women Bankers from Member countries. 125 candidates from 17
   countries are participating in this programme.
