FAQ

How will IBC or OSHA code affect my project?

All Panel Built, Inc. structures are built to OSHA code and can also be
engineered to meet IBC code.  These regulations will dictate certain aspects of
your project, like the rise and run of stairs, the placement of an intermediate
landing of in a staircase, etc. However, our engineering department will ensure
you get a structure that both meets code and fulfills your specific needs.

Are you a GSA contract holder?

Yes, Panel Built, Inc. is a GSA contract holder (GS-07-0168X). We’ve worked
together with the government on countless modular construction projects. We’ve
designed, manufactured, and installed guard houses, mezzanines, modular offices,
guard booths, multistory offices, and guard shacks to a number of government
customers.

Do you make Stairs and Hand Railing?
 

Yes, we can provide custom stair and ladder systems, separate from our mezzanine
systems.

Do you provide installation services?

Yes, we can provide installation services on all of our projects.

Do you provide heat and air in the building?

Absolutely! Each of our in-plant and building projects come with HVAC options to
satisfy all your heating and cooling requirements.

What is your standard PSF for your mezzanine systems?

The standard PSF (Pounds per Square Foot) for our mezzanine systems is 125.
However, this number can be easily increased if the structure needs to hold more
weight.

Can you build a custom modular structure?

All Panel Built, Inc. modular structure are custom designed, engineered, and
manufactured for each specific project.

Can we use our own color?

For our in-plant offices, the standard colors we provide are white, gray, and
champagne. But we can customize the project to fit any color.

For our mezzanines, the standard colors we provide are red, blue, yellow, gray,
and black. However, like with our modular offices, we can match any color you
would want

What would the lead time be for a pre-assembled building?

Overall, it depends on the type of pre-assembled building and how many amenities
are required. We always provide a lead time with every quote. There is a lead
time for preparation of project specific shop drawings, too (usually 1-2 weeks
after order). Specific 3rd party review or ballistic/blast resistant buildings
require additional lead times.

Can I get a load bearing roof on my inplant office?

Yes, our load bearing roofs will consist of a steel I-beam that rest on binder
posts, and steel tubes are also provided to be inserted into the binder posts
for added wall support.

Do you have sound proofing / dampening options?

Yes, we offer a number of different solutions to help noise reduction on your
project. As many of inplant structures are placed in factory settings, we can
provide specific doors, paneling, and windows to keep the decibel level low in
your structure.
