NEW YORK (PIX11) — Tired of seeing dog poop on sidewalks?

Last year alone, the New York City Department of Sanitation claimed they
received more than 2,300 complaints over dog poop.

In addition to encouraging dog owners to clean up after their pets, Council
Member Julie Menin is proposing to install dog waste bag dispensers to city
trash cans.

Under the law, the City would also be responsible for keeping the dispensers
stocked.

New Yorkers can report dog waste on public and private property. Reports must
include a timeframe and days of the week when the problems occur.
