How do I upgrade to Windows 11? The upgrade to Windows 11 is distributed using
Windows 10 Update & Security settings. This update will be released in phases to
eligible Windows 10 systems, so you may not get it on the first day of release.
To get in line for the update, follow the instructions below. Click on Start ⊞
and select Settings ⚙. Choose Update & security . Click on Windows Update ,
then select Check for updates and install all of the updates. Once your copy of
Windows 11 is ready, it will begin downloading and will install automatically.

Windows 11: How to Create Windows 11 Recovery Media

How can I create recovery media for my Windows 11 computer? Acer recommends
creating a Windows 11 recovery drive. By creating a recovery drive, you will be
able to reinstall Windows 11 in case your computer ever experiences major
problems like hardware failure. Windows releases updates periodically, so we
recommend you recreate a recovery drive annually. Note: Personal files, apps,
settings, or programs are not backed up when creating a recovery drive.
Therefore, we recommend you Backup and Restore in Windows frequently. Recovery
Drive Creation Instructions Follow the steps below to create a Windows 11
recovery drive. You need a USB drive of at least 16 GB for this. Note: The USB
drive will be erased when creating the recovery drive. 1) Press the Windows key
+ R key in Windows, enter recovery drive in the dialogue screen, and click on OK
. The Recovery Drive process will now launch and the Create a recovery drive
window will open. 2) In the Create a recovery drive window, make sure the Back
up system files to the recovery drive checkbox is checked, and then click on
Next to start the creation of recovery media. The system will now prepare the
creation of the recovery media. This may take some minutes. 3) If you haven’t
already done so, insert the USB drive you want to use, select it to create a
recovery drive, and click on Next . Note: Any content on the drive you select
will be deleted. 4) Click on Create to start copying the recovery files to
the USB drive. The recovery files are now copied to the USB drive. This may take
some minutes. 5) Once all files are copied the creation of the recovery media is
done. Click on Finish to complete.

Aspire 3 A315-24P-R7VH Not charging

When plugging in charger, orange light starts blinking for a few seconds, laptop
shows up to be charging for 1-2 seconds and then orange and blue lights start
blinking. Things I've done: Uninstall drivers for adapter/battery Try different
power outlets Check output voltage of the charger - it is 19.55V, pretty close
to advertised 19V on the sticker Checked that laptop is taking in power - shows
up same voltage as the charger Checked voltage from battery - close to
advertised Resetting battery using the little button(A LOT) One time when I
plugged the charger into powered off laptop it started charging and charged to
full, though adapter got really hot. I am on latest bios version V1.15. Since
purchase in late November 2023, laptop has been experiencing Kernel-power
critical failures (event ID 41) as shown in event viewer where laptop just
crashes and randomly restarts. I have seen other people post about same issue
and have tried suggested steps for resolving this issue with no success. Could
everything I've noted so far indicate motherboard issue? I still have carry-in
warranty but I am not physically in the US any longer so sending laptop back
would cost a lot, though I have made another ticket directly for acer

Touchpad issue on Acer Aspire 3 (A315-24P)

Good day! Have an issue with touchpad (don't work at all) on Acer Aspire 3
(A315-24P). I think I did all I can: Try all possible shortcuts for touchpad
enabling / disabling: Fn + F2, Fn + F6, Fn + F7. Try to change Touchpad setting
in BIOS (PS2 / I2C). My BIOS version is 1.11 Install all updates for Windows 11.
A315-24p model based on AMD Chipset and there is no any Sirial IO driver in
drivers list from Acer. Anyway I try all of recommended drivers for touchpad
(Elantech and Synaptics) without Serial IO driver and with different
combinations (AMD Seial IO driver from Lenovo, Intel IO driver). Report from AMD
Software Tool shows the I have fresh versions of drivers (GPIO, PS2, I2C). What
is my mistake and what I can do to solve my issue?

Aspire 3 I5 A315-24P-R9ZN Laptop won't charge

I have an Aspire 3 I5 A315-24P-R9ZN. it will charge but after like 10 to 20
seconds it will stop charging but it works when i plugged the charger to another
power outlet. I charged the laptop to 77%, unplugged it and played I for some

I don't know why this is happening, since the charger has always been working.
Now my laptop won't charge, and whenever I turn it on its power flashes blue
about 5 times.

Single Language pre-installed, but instead I want to install and use Ubuntu
23.04 operating system on my device, do you think it can be installed? Is there

Acer Aspire 3 A315-24P-R7VH Slim Laptop keyboard not working.

I’ve had this laptop for about one month and have not used it much. I always
thought the mousepad was not very reactive. But now, the keyboard stopped
working. I tried typing on different programs and internet platforms, with zero

Aspire A315-24P won't stay connected to wifi

I got an Acer Aspire 3 15 laptop for Christmas so it's had very little use, but
it keeps dropping the wifi signal after about an hour. When I try to re-connect
it says the signal is weak, but my Toshiba laptop beside it says the signal is
strong and stays connected. I can place the Acer right beside the router ( I'm
on Starlink satellite for Wifi) but it fails to connect. If I unplug the router
and reboot the computer at the same time, I'll get back on for another hour but
I have 3 other computers staying connected just fine. The trouble shooter keeps
telling me "default gateway not available". I phoned Acer last night and started
a Case file … he got me to do a total system reboot which I finished up
reloading the personal info to run Windows 11 this morning, but after an hour I
got the boot again. I did manage to run Windows update and install all the
latest drivers but that's not cutting it. The IT tech said we'd have to hard
wire into the LAN connection to do any more, but the router uses the big square
plugs and the biggest one on this skinny little laptop is a USB. I've barely had
this laptop a month and it's already cost me more time than it's worth…. any
ideas short of a stick of dynamite? [Edited the thread to add model name to the

Acer ASPIRE 3 (a315-24p-r7vhh) ONLY powers on if LEFT OFF 3+ days

You read that correctly. I've never seen anything like it. It powers on fine and
works great and remains on UNTIL I SHUT IT DOWN. After that, it simply WILL NOT
TURN ON. The blue light turns on for a second, and then turns off after about 5
seconds. There is NOTHING I can do to fix this. I held the power button for 10
minutes straight, I pushed in the reset button, I tried changing the battery,
the adapter and even reinstalling WINDOWS 11 to no avail. The ONLY WAY I can get
it to turn on, is if I leave it off for about 3 days or more. Then it powers on
majestically. I kid you not. Just like that. One thing I should mention is that
a year ago, the keyboard stopped responding. I paid this one street tech to fix
it, which he did, and he told me the flex cable wasn't fully pressing down. Then
fast forward about 8 months and now I have this problem. It used to be, I just
needed to wait about 2 hours and then it would turn on. Then it was 1 day. Now
it's 3+ days. Any help would be great. Please just point me in the right
direction. Is there a MOSFET that would be responsible for this? Thanks again!

it was constantly dropping speed of my wifi connection, today service centre
accepted the problem and they replaced the card with the same one and still
having speed drop issue . What should I do now ? a network reset fixed the
