CALL FOR PROPOSALS NOW OPEN FOR THE 2024 ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The 2024 ETC Program Committee welcomes you to submit a proposal to present at
the 2024 Annual Conference, happening in Ames, Iowa from October 1-4. Seize the
opportunity to contribute by submitting your proposals! This year's conference
theme, "Bringing Innovation to Life," encourages innovative and visionary ideas,
processes, and products. The deadline to submit a proposal is April 3,

OUR MISSION
The mission of ETC is to provide leadership and a forum for information exchange
to the providers of media content, academic technology, and support for quality
teaching and learning at institutions of higher education. To learn more about

THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP
ETC primarily offers membership to any institution of higher education with
support units for media, instruction, presentation, or information technologies
as well as firms and corporations whose business is in support of the purposes
and objectives of ETC. Retiree and student memberships are also available.
Members receive a variety of networking opportunities to connect with other
professionals in their field, including access to member pricing at yearly
conferences and a members-only listserv. Members can also participate in
industry roundtable discussions regarding current trends and changes in the

UPCOMING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Accessibility in Higher Education: Digital Accessibility
We often envision digital accessibility through the lens of our personal devices
going online. In addition to web presence, in this session we’ll discuss access
challenges for livestreamed and archival content, and digital signage. We will
also explore tools and resources to implement in order to make navigating these
types of materials engaging and interactive for any user. Join us on April 4th
at 1 pm ET.

How to Run a Committee
Most of us will be called upon at some point to run a committee, a task force or
a project team, whether it’s at our workplaces or for a volunteer organization
(like ETC or within our personal communities). This work can be challenging
because it often includes leading groups of people who don’t normally work
together and may have diverse backgrounds and/or skill sets, along with busy
schedules. Join us on Thursday, April 11 at 2pm ET for the session “How to Run a
Committee,” which will outfit attendees with the tools to develop or further
their facilitation skills to enable them to successfully lead these groups so
that they are collaborative and productive. Content will be both general and
ETC specific, so we encourage everyone to join even if you’re not a current or
aspiring ETC committee chair. This session will include a Q/A segment and will
be presented by Karen Ethier, Senior Director of Support Services, IT for Roger
Williams University and President-Elect of ETC.
