ABOUT THE BOOK

Get Out Of Your Head, It’s A Mess In There! is a book that has been percolating
in Art Dielhenn’s brain for a bit. It was COVID that pushed the former A-List TV
director turned Career Coach to add the title of author to his creative resume.
He wrote this book as a
“get-me-through-the-pandemic-with-my-head-screwed-on-straight-project.” It’s a
book of aphorisms for better thinking and living, promising readers quick access
to 101 thoughtful ideas and 101 clever cartoons.

What Are Aphorisms Anyway? The dictionary says they are, “pithy observations
that contain general truths.” They are economical, reducing principles to their
primary essence. They are “tried and true” shorthand directions for living. By
repetition over time, they become part of the fabric of life’s understanding of
itself. They are reminders, prompts, encouragements; sometimes admonitions like
“a bird in hand is worth two in the bush” or “look before you leap.”

ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR

ART DIELHENN, CPCC

Art is a certified career coach living in Los Angeles, California. Prior to
coaching, he enjoyed a fulfilling career directing both public and commercial
television.

Much of this book is graced by the thoughts, ideas, and writings of others. It’s
a synthesis of whatever Art’s learned, picked up, or been gifted over the years.
He has tried to give credit where credit is due. Any omissions were
unintentional and the result of not being able to track down and credit the
worthy source.

The library and quote tracker will highlight the authors so instrumental in the
formation of this book.

CLEMMY LE BUSQUE

Clemmy is an artist and designer living in Los Angeles. Twenty-five years of
failed psychotherapy suggests that Le Busque long ago gave up trying to work out
the meaning of life through art.

The author of two graphic memoirs, in addition to the hilarious Call Centre
Diaries, they hold an MA in Creative Writing and New Media and a BA in Fine
Arts. When not working their day job as a drug and alcohol counselor, Le Busque
is a keen student of nonviolent communication and a hypnotist.
