This group contains handles for machine construction. In addition to cabinet
U-handles and arch handles, this includes finger handles, tubular handles and
folding handles. Ledge handles and gripping trays are also included. The handles
can be used universally to pull, lift and carry or to transfer manual and
pivoting forces.
The typical materials for industrial handles are aluminum, steel, stainless
steel and plastic. Plastic handles are inexpensive and ideal for lightweight
applications. Machine handles of high-strength powder-coated aluminum are
long-lasting and robust. Stainless steel handles are also suited for
hygienically demanding applications.

mechanical engineering, handwheels are indispensable as important operating
elements, standard elements or standard parts. The handwheel transmits
rotational movement quickly and directly to a machine. Handwheels generally
serve as control elements to make adjustments or apply settings via rotational
movements by hand. Alternatively, handwheels are placed on fittings, machine
tools or geared motors, where they are used for opening and closing valves,
among other tasks. Handwheels from Ganter are connected to the shaft by a
parallel key.

for tensioning and clamping components on machines, devices and mechanisms of
all kinds. They consist of a handle and

Hand levers and tension levers, also called clamping levers, are standard parts
for tensioning and clamping components on machines, devices and mechanisms of
all kinds. They consist of a handle and a threaded insert, which can be designed
with male or female thread. Hand levers replace commonly used clamping screws
such as wing screws or star knobs.
There are both fixed and adjustable designs. While the handle and threaded
insert form a single unit on fixed tension levers, adjustable hand levers have a
threaded insert that is connected to the handle by a releasable serration lock.
Adjustable hand levers are ideal whenever parts have to be clamped in a confined
space or in a particular lever position.
Functioning of adjustable hand levers
On adjustable hand levers, the threaded insert is connected to the handle by a
releasable serration lock. When the handle is pulled up, the serrations itself
and the lever can be moved to the best clamping position. After being released,
the hand lever latches automatically back into place thanks to an integrated
spring.
Applications for hand levers
The many applications include machine and plant construction, food processing
equipment, medical technology, sports equipment and physical rehabilitation
equipment.
 * Machine and plant construction: Wherever the position of components must be
   changed quickly by hand, hand levers or clamping levers are a useful standard
   part. For special requirements, such as controlling mechanical functions on a
   machine, gear levers and control levers are also available.
 * Food processing equipment and medical technology (hygienic areas): For the
   challenging areas of food processing equipment, medical technology and the
   pharmaceutical industry, Ganter developed special hand levels in “hygienic
   design”. These DGUV-tested hand levers are made of easy-to-clean material
   with a very plain surface and can be fastened without dead space.
 * Other applications: A hand lever is generally the perfect solution wherever
   frequent manual adjustment and clamping are required. The applications are
   extremely diverse: Stage equipment, film production, photo studios and sports
   equipment are just a small selection of possible uses for these practical and
   reasonably priced standard parts.
 * Special requirements for increased safety: Safety tension levers can only be
   released when the lever hub is pressed down. This effectively prevents
   accidental operation and unintended releasing of the tension lever.

Hand levers from Ganter
Ganter offers hand levers in a wide range of designs and materials. The handles
are made of coated zinc die casting, plastic or precision cast stainless steel,
and the threaded inserts are available in blackened or zinc-plated steel as well
as stainless steel. The hand levers are available in thread sizes M3 to M16.
Custom designs are also possible.

restrict the movement of the components or fix them completely. Ganter pins can
be released again with one hand. They are therefore ideal for frequent use. This
makes them perfect for temporarily adjusting, assembling or locking components.
Types of Ganter plungers
Ganter offers a comprehensive range of pins. With this extensive range, the
right standard part for interlocking is always available for practically every
type of application.
Indexing plungers
An indexing plunger is a normed detent device. Standard parts and machine
elements can be fixed in a certain position using indexing plungers. They create
a secure connection with limited play. The conventional indexing plunger is
usually actuated with a pull button.
Cam action indexing plungers
Cam action indexing plungers are a modified variant of the indexing plungers.
The lock can be released by turning the bolt.
Clamping indexing plungers
Clamping indexing plungers are used for positioning, securing and clamping
adjusting elements at the same time. Where defined bores are available for
engaging the integrated pin, the positive connection typical of a pin is used.
At any other position, the clamping indexing plunger utilizes friction locking.
Locking pins
Locking pins are used for quick fixing, connecting and locking of various parts
and workpieces. Pressing the spring-loaded push button unlocks both balls, and
releasing it locks the balls again.
Thrust pads
Spring thrust pads are generally used as pressure pins in applications. A spring
thrust pad is used when a workpiece has to be quickly fixed, indexed or
positioned in a toolmaking or mechanical engineering application. The locking
function is simple, useful and functional. Ganter's range is very wide to cover
many applications.
