What is Lido on Polygon?

Lido on Polygon is a liquid staking solution for MATIC backed by
industry-leading staking providers. Lido lets users earn MATIC staking rewards
without needing to maintain infrastructure and enables them to trade staked
positions, as well as participate in on-chain decentralized finance with their
staked assets. Lido on Polygon gives users options to:

 * Stake their MATIC tokens in a decentralized and secure way
 * Use their stMATIC on the secondary market

How does Lido on Polygon work?

When staking with Lido on Polygon, users receive stMATIC tokens as soon as they
submit MATIC. Lido will calculate the current stMATIC/MATIC ratio and send the
correct amount to the user. MATIC tokens are then delegated across Polygon
validators that are part of Lido on Polygon.

What is liquid staking?

Liquid staking protocols allow users to earn staking rewards without locking
assets or maintaining staking infrastructure. Users can deposit tokens and
receive tradable liquid tokens in return. The DAO-controlled smart contract
stakes these tokens using elected staking providers. As users funds are
controlled by the DAO, staking providers never have direct access to the users'
assets.

What is stMATIC?

stMATIC is an ERC20 token that represents the account’s share of the total
supply of MATIC tokens inside Lido-on-Polygon system. It is a non-rebasable
token, which means that the amount of tokens in the user’s wallet is not going
to change. During time, the value of this token is changing, since the amount of
MATIC tokens inside the protocol is not constant.

Staking with Lido you get stMATIC on the Ethereum network, however you can also
bridge them to the Polygon network via Polygon PoS bridge or Stakeall Finance.
So stMATIC is supported by a variety of DeFi applications across Ethereum and
Polygon networks (Balancer, Curve, Beefy, Dystopia, Kyber, Quickswap etc...)

How long after requesting withdraw can I claim MATIC?

What is LDO?

LDO is an Ethereum token granting governance rights in the Lido DAO. The Lido
DAO governs a set of liquid staking protocols, decides on key parameters (e.g.,
fees) and executes protocol upgrades to ensure efficiency and stability. By
holding the LDO token, one is granted voting rights within the Lido DAO. The
more LDO locked in a user’s voting contract, the greater the decision-making
power the voter gets.

What fee is applied by Lido? What is it used for?

Lido applies a 10% fee on a user’s staking rewards. This fee is split between
node operators, the DAO, and a coverage fund.

Is the APY value displayed on the widget correct?

The APY shown is what we got as the average return using the historical on-chain
data for the past 30 days. The Polygon calculator shows a lower value because it
shows the theoretical returns from the tokenomics. In practice, the returns are
