THROUGHOUT ONE OF THE DARKEST TIMES IN OUR STATE’S HISTORY, RHODE ISLANDERS WERE
LIFTED UP BY THE INDOMITABLE SPIRIT OF OUR FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS, WHO
SELFLESSLY SACRIFICED THEIR OWN HEALTH AND WELL-BEING DURING THE COVID-19
PANDEMIC TO ENSURE PATIENTS IN NEED GOT THE BEST CARE. 


YET NOT EVEN ONE MONTH HAS PASSED SINCE PANDEMIC RESTRICTIONS HAVE STARTED TO
EASE, AND LANDMARK MEDICAL CENTER MANAGEMENT SEEMS TO HAVE ALREADY FORGOTTEN
ABOUT THESE HEALTHCARE HEROES AND THE PATIENTS THEY SERVE.  




LANDMARK FORGOT ABOUT THEIR FRONTLINE HEALTHCARE WORKERS

 * We’re still in the throes of the pandemic, and Landmark management is
   refusing to offer a fair contract to their nurses and healthcare workers,
   even insisting that nurses accept a proposal that forces them to work in
   areas they aren’t specialized in.
 * Landmark management is now trying to gouge healthcare workers with
   unreasonable increases in healthcare costs and offering wages that are far
   below market rates. 


LANDMARK FORGOT ABOUT PATIENTS

 * While top executives rake in big money, management has continuously refused
   to provide safe-staffing levels for the patients at Landmark, resulting in a
   shortage of caregivers, creating dangerous conditions, and putting Landmark
   patients at risk. 


LANDMARK FORGOT ABOUT WOONSOCKET

 * Prime Healthcare, which owns Landmark, has already stiffed the City of
   Woonsocket out of roughly $1.5 million dollars when they sneakily changed
   their for-profit status to not-for-profit to avoid making the investment in
   the City that they promised. 
 * Prime is more interested in lining their own pockets with massive management
   fees than ensuring the long-term stability of Landmark Medical Center, a
   community hospital that Woonsocket and other Blackstone Valley residents
   depend on.
