Managing tenant and vendor compliance can sometimes feel like a team sport,
right? Just like all team sports, someone is bound to drop the ball from time to
time. We've heard from our customers that inefficient team communication is one
of the biggest bottlenecks slowing down compliance.

Here are some of the ways your team can collaborate with our new ability to
mention and notify coworkers in Team Notes:

 * Quickly get waiver approval from other team members
 * Loop in your insurance broker for full policy reviews
 * Communicate urgency on problematic records

Check out our latest blog post on how Jones simplifies collaborating on vendor
and tenant COI management.

MOI (MEMORANDUM OF INSURANCE)

A Memorandum of Insurance (MOI) is a form of evidencing insurance coverage that
is very similar to a Certificate of Insurance (COI). MOIs contain lists of
policies, policy numbers, coverage limits, expiration dates, and other fields
similar to COIs. However, MOIs don't contain certificate holder names,
signatures from underwriters or brokers, specific additional insured entities,
or notice of cancellation provisions.

Some Jones customers request to be notified when vendors or tenants submit MOIs
instead of COIs because the lack of key details (like certificate holders) are
deemed as insurance coverage gaps. Other customers prefer Jones accept MOIs
without marking any gaps for the missing provisions.

Over the past few years, we've seen an increasing number of companies submit
MOIs as evidence of insurance coverage instead of COIs. You can reach out to
your customer success manager if you have any questions or want clarification on
your own company's policies regarding MOIs.
