BYRON HAYNES




Byron Haynes is a principal reservoir engineer for Shell E&P Company in Houston,
Texas. He is a 40+ year member of SPE and has been an SPE Distinguished Member
since 2013 and an SPE Technical Reviewer since 2005, having received A Peer
Apart recognition in 2014. Byron currently serves as an associate editor for SPE
Reservoir Evaluation & Engineering under the Formation Evaluation discipline and
as a technical reviewer for SPE Journal under the Production and Operations
discipline. He has led past technical reviewer workshops at the SPE Annual
Technical Conference and Exhibition, and has taught technical writing courses
for Shell Kuwait and Shell Brunei, as well as several seminars on “How to Write
and Present a Technical Paper” for the SPE Houston Gulf Coast section. Byron has
authored or coauthored 15 SPE papers.
