Welcome to the guide! Its sole purpose is to help you survive (and
thrive) in the turbulent world of Exeter math. Navigate to "THE GUIDE" in the
menu above to give it a go. Beneath each problem, you will find hints, diagrams,
and extensions to help you make sense of the material. The following labels
divide the guide’s content into several categories:

Guiding questions:
Your best bet for conquering a problem! They nudge you toward the truth by
reaching into the depths of your own mind.

Exercises:
Split the problem into manageable steps. Type your answer and click “Submit” to
check if you’re on the right track.

Extensions:
The icing on the cake and my favorite part of the guide. Once you solve the
problem, they will expand your understanding by offering neat mathematical
connections.

👀 Hints:

Click on them if you’re desperate.

🫣 More hints:

They won’t reveal the answer, but might dispel your confusion!

The guide is a work in progress and only covers a sample of the
Exeter Math 3-4 book. If you’re looking for help with other problems, please
navigate to the “ASK ALEX” section above or visit this excellent but slightly
outdated companion made by Exeter alumni Alec Sun’17 and Yannick Yao’17 back in
2017.

Dear teachers: I did my best to guide students through the problems
without giving away the solutions. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you
believe any part of the guide hinders learning by doing too much work intended
for the student.

Address all your comments and concerns to Daria (divanova@exeter.edu)
or directly to Alex the Geologist through the “ASK ALEX” tab above. Enjoy!
