What you’ll do Join our team in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native, collaborative process transformation services to accelerate our customer’s business process transformation. As (Senior) Backend Developer (m/f/d) in our team you’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand the users needs and engineering teams in developing innovative solutions to improve processes. Your main tasks as a (Senior) Backend Developer (m/f/d) in our team will be to: * Build and iterate new product functionality allowing users to collaboratively transform their business processes * Contribute to the entire cycle of product development – from first ideas to continuously delivering improvements based on customer data * Solve technical challenges of high scope and complexity building cloud-native backend that are used in the entire Signavio Suite * Build on a modern cloud-native stack and infrastructure * Learn from, collaborate with, and guide other team members What you bring * University Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 3 + years of relevant experience * Very good programming skills in Java and a solid foundation in computer science with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms as well as a strong foundation on using relational databases * Experience with microservice architectures, distributed systems and designing, developing, and documenting RESTful APIs * Experience in writing automated tests * Experience in working with containerized applications and container orchestration systems (Kubernetes) and with CI/CD and pipeline orchestrator like Jenkins, CircleCI, or Azure Pipelines * Foundational knowledge of using and managing infrastructure in a cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP * You stand out through your clear and concise communication and proposing iterative solutions * Fluent English language skills, both oral and written Beneficial * Experience with modern, cloud-native Java frameworks like Quarkus or Micronaut or knowledge in other JVM languages, e.g., Kotlin, Scala * Experience using infrastructure as code (IaC) for provisioning and managing infrastructure components in cloud provider environments, e.g., Crossplane, AWS CDK) * Experience with GraphQL, Liquibase, Flyway and / or ArgoCD * Experience with SAP’s Business Technology Platform Meet your team You will work closely with a diverse group of product owners, designers, frontend, and backend engineers.
