   Mass Food Distribution This Saturday!
   
   United Way of Western Connecticut and the Connecticut Food Bank partner with
   the City of Danbury and Danbury Public Schools to host mass food drive-thru
   distribution every Saturday in August from 10 am to 1 pm at Danbury High
   School.
   
   DANBURY, CT –  Danbury High School (43 Clapboard Ridge Road) will host a
   drive-thru food distribution every Saturday in August beginning on August 7.
   Area residents can drive up from 10 am – 1 pm to receive a box of fresh
   produce from the CT Food Bank/Foodshare program.
   
   This food distribution is spearheaded by United Way of Western CT who has
   partnered with the CT Food Bank/Foodshare to bring this drive-thru
   opportunity to Danbury residents. The CT Food Bank is committed to providing
   nutritious food to people in need throughout the state. To learn more about
   where to find CT Food Bank pantries and drive-thru distributions,
   visit: https://www.ctfoodbank.org/get-help/connecticut-food-banks-mobile-pantry-schedule/
   
   Walnut Hill Community Church has generously provided logistical and volunteer
   support for this event.
   
   In addition to the food drive, Danbury High will also host mobile vaccination
   clinics to provide residents the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
   Clinics will be provided throughout the month by Griffin Health, RVNA, and
   CHC, Inc.

   Draft PY 2019-2020 Annual Action Plan Second Amendment
   
   CV Funding for Community Development Block Grant
   
   CARES Act Funding
   
   The City of Danbury is seeking public comment and input on the Draft
   2019-2020 Action Plan Second Amendment – CV Funding for the Community
   Development Block Grant CARES Act, specifically to apply for funding in the
   amount of $378,334 for CV-1 and $715,394 for CV-3 to address needs resulting
   from the COVID-19 pandemic, under the federal CARES Act.  A five (5) day
   public comment period will begin on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 and end on
   Monday, August 9, 2021.  
   
   These funds will be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the
   Coronavirus, and will be administered in accordance with the respective
   programmatic requirements, including the need to meet a national objective,
   where applicable. 
   
   The City will conduct a public hearing on Monday, August 9, 2021 at 7:00 PM,
   1st Floor Conference Room – 1A, City Hall, 155 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT 
   06810.  Any comments and/or suggestions pertaining to the needs of the
   community as they relate to the CDBG-CV funding priorities and specific
   project proposals will be taken into consideration when deciding which
   projects will be funded through the CDBG-CV funding. 
   
   The City will also accept electronic or written comment on this amendment and
   application through August 9, 20212 at cdbg@danbury-ct.gov, or mailed to: 
   David St.Hilaire, Director of Finance, 155 Deer Hill Ave, Danbury, CT 
   06810.   All comments received will be summarized with responses in the final
   version of the Amendment. For copies of the Draft Amendment to PY 2019-2020
   Annual Action Plan please refer to the City’s website, www.danbury-ct.gov
   under News and Events.  If you require special assistance in attending this
   hearing (e.g., language, sign language, interpretation and/or mobility
   assistance), please advise the ADA Coordinator, Office of Mayor (203)

   Mass Food Distribution This Saturday!
   
   United Way of Western Connecticut and the Connecticut Food Bank partner with
   the City of Danbury and Danbury Public Schools to host mass food drive-thru
   distribution every Saturday in August from 10 am to 1 pm at Danbury High
   School.
   
   DANBURY, CT –  Danbury High School (43 Clapboard Ridge Road) will host a
   drive-thru food distribution every Saturday in August beginning on August 7.
   Area residents can drive up from 10 am – 1 pm to receive a box of fresh
   produce from the CT Food Bank/Foodshare program.
   
   This food distribution is spearheaded by United Way of Western CT who has
   partnered with the CT Food Bank/Foodshare to bring this drive-thru
   opportunity to Danbury residents. The CT Food Bank is committed to providing
   nutritious food to people in need throughout the state. To learn more about
   where to find CT Food Bank pantries and drive-thru distributions,

   Walnut Hill Community Church has generously provided logistical and volunteer

   CHC, Inc.

   Mass Food Distribution This Saturday!
   
   United Way of Western Connecticut and the Connecticut Food Bank partner with
   the City of Danbury and Danbury Public Schools to host mass food drive-thru
   distribution every Saturday in August from 10 am to 1 pm at Danbury High
   School.
   
   DANBURY, CT –  Danbury High School (43 Clapboard Ridge Road) will host a
   drive-thru food distribution every Saturday in August beginning on August 7.
   Area residents can drive up from 10 am – 1 pm to receive a box of fresh
   produce from the CT Food Bank/Foodshare program.
   
   This food distribution is spearheaded by United Way of Western CT who has
   partnered with the CT Food Bank/Foodshare to bring this drive-thru
   opportunity to Danbury residents. The CT Food Bank is committed to providing
   nutritious food to people in need throughout the state. To learn more about

   Walnut Hill Community Church has generously provided logistical and volunteer
   support for this event.
   
   In addition to the food drive, Danbury High will also host mobile vaccination
   clinics to provide residents the opportunity to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
   Clinics will be provided throughout the month by Griffin Health, RVNA, and
   CHC, Inc.
