We have multiple options for USB transcription headsets. All of our USB options
have a sound card built into the cord. The sound card built into the cord is
specially designed to match the frequency response of the spoken word. It is
very important to note that normal 3.5mm transcription headsets are designed to
work with the internal sound card built into computer which is designed to match
the frequency response of music.
We travel with a transcription headset audio testing station laptop with four
headsets (three USB and one 3.5 stereo) as we work trade shows all over the
country. The USB transcription headsets are absolutely incredible. The three
most popular styles are below. It is very important to note that we have the
exact same dictation audio file playing out of a laptop. Audio levels are
exactly the same but the sound coming out of headsets are very different.
1) ECS-WHUC3.5 - UnderChin - (similar style headset most people have used for

I have been a legal transcriptionist for 20 years and have gone through
headsets like they were water. These are keepers! The clarity difference is
incredible. Anyone who does legal knows about sidebars. I can actually hear
them now! These are a little tight on the head but hopefully with time,
they'll ease up. Otherwise, I can't say enough good about them.

These head phones are the best for dictations! I love that I can bipass my
computer’s sound card and turn the volume up as loud as I need. They make
transcribing for low talkers a breeze!! These are now my go-to headset.

What a difference my WordSlinger Deluxe headset has made. Audios are much
clearer, my ears are not sore and I am still able to hear normal
conversations, compared to the lesser quality headset I had been using.
Also the customer service at ECS is top-notch!

I am nearly in tears. I have a very old doctor that accounts for most of my
income. He has a very low voice when dictating and I was returning his
reports with many holes. I was concerned about losing the account. I have
had these for 2 weeks now. What an incredible difference. I am hearing
words that I thought were not there. Thanks for allowing me to keep my main
source of income.

I have been do transcription work all day long for the last 20 years. I
have tried many headphones, but I have to say these are the best I have
come across. I recommend them to everyone in my field.
Even when I have a poor quality audio, transcription is a breeze when using
these.
They are very durable, but I make it a practice to always order at least
two. The only time I've had to replace them is when my dog decides it's her
favorite chew toy.

comfort. They are lightweight too. Have recommended to friends.
