The sponsor was Kennesaw State University, the defending champion. Twelve colleges and universities sent teams to the tournament location at the John Marshall School of Law. All teams participated in four rounds of competition. The Citadel record was 2-2. The Citadel team representing the Defendant in the case went 2-0, defeating University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Kennesaw State University. LTC Platte Moring, Team Coach, was pleased with the performance in this first competition. “Every team member was truly exceptional and improved with each new round,” he said. We are enormously proud to report that two members of our team received individual honors (pictured below): * Noah Miller (Third Year Political Science and English double major) won a Best Attorney award. * Makayla Riley (Fourth Year Psychology major and Fine Arts minor) achieved a Best Witness award. We look forward to participating in the Wildcat Classic Invitational in Davidson, NC, in mid-November and the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, FL, in January. We want to thank all the administrators, donors, and guest lecturers who contributed to the team's success. Copyright (C) 2024 The Citadel . All rights reserved.
