Dear Patricia, Linus Lai, Vice President of IDC Asia/Pacific Software and
Services Research Group is hosting an executive by-invite digital roundtable on

   quantified value.

The last two years has seen an acceleration of apps and data to the cloud as
well increased intelligent automation use in key business processes. IDC expects
that by 2025, net-new production-grade cloud-native apps will increase to 70%
from 10% of apps in 2020 due to adoption of technologies such as microservices,
containers and DevOps methodologies. However, legacy applications still present
a stumbling block to realizing the full value of a Digital-First Enterprise. In
IDC’s recent survey of enterprises, 83% of enterprises now say application
modernization is a top priority with up to half of applications needing
modernization immediately. SAP (53% of respondents) is the primary application
in their crosshairs and a variety of methods are preferred ranging from
greenfield, brownfield and bluefield likely to be pursued. Interestingly, public
cloud is now the preferred destination with Google ranking high as a preferred
