The altered state community with an animated series at its core, featuring
original NFT characters that bring you along for the trip




WTF IS TRIPPY TOUR?

It's an NFT project. It's an animated series. It's a community.

We want to create this IP in conjunction with the audience. We have stories to
tell and we want to visualize your dope stories too.

This project was born in Mexico with the creation of an animated series and has
evolved into something more. It has a team of contributors from all over the
world. Our pilot script has been translated to English to make it widely
accessible, but we decided to keep Spanish speaking characters and stay true to
the project's Latin roots.

We see drug culture as a global phenomenon. These stories need to be told in
their native tongue. From Tokyo to Amsterdam, Miami and Jamaica, we know many of
you are getting up to all kinds of shenanigans. We take inspiration from
localized experiences. Often you’ll find you have more in common with a person
around the world than you do with the boring people next door. Trippy Tour is
about localized experience and a global community. This world tour is about the
journey, not the destination. Come for a trip with us.

trippers, as they quest to fix the world’s greatest problems— or rather, quest
for the world’s greatest fix, and meet all kind of other misfits along the way.

THE TRIPPY TOUR GUIDES


ARMANDO

ARMANDO is the leader of this motley crew. He’s a bitter, sarcastic, and
dangerously clever old man. Nobody knows for certain how he obtains the
resources, experience and the substances that he manages to conjure up. His
twisted reasoning will either be the death of his companions or save them from a
fate even worse… yeah, it will probably be their death.


BALAM

BALAM is a bat-shit crazy hippie, pot head, who lives in eternal confusion. His
brain oscillates between block headed and bristling. He’s always there to share
his company and unsolicited advice over a bowl… as long as it’s your stash.
That’s the secret to keeping a friend as faithful as Balam, just feed his soul
with the THC he needs.


MOLLY

MOLLY will befriend just about anyone without sacrificing her true self, but her
true self can be a real problem. A trust-fund baby, Molly lived a life of luxury
before breaking up with her parents when it was time to 'grow up'. She struggles
to detach herself emotionally from her dad’s credit card. Molly brings the party
with her everywhere she goes.


FRITTER’S

FRITTER’s neurons are so cooked from so many drugs that barely a trace of his
original identity remains, which everyone ignores anyway. Fritter’s language is
unintelligible. It’s a messy collage of pop culture references, songs, phrases,
NFT lingo, and involuntary guttural utterances.


GAVILAN

GAVILÁN is the chubby, washed up wrestler once known as Sparrowhawk. What’s at
play here is the dangerous combination of ignorance, hot-headedness and a metric
shit-ton of steroids. Retiring in poverty has led him to earn a living any way
he can. One day he’s a janitor, the next he’s a driver (without a license),
another he’s a bouncer, then he dresses up as Shrek for children’s parties.


UNKNOWN

The gang meets all kinds of other misfits on their tour of the strange and
deranged. Who will be next? It can be YOU! Mint your own unique Tripper NFT,

Trippy Tour is the Brainchild of Detachment East, an independent VFX and
animation studio based in Mexico, specialized in high quality imagery. This team
is fully doxed and super stoked to bring our dream project to the public. Meet
some of the key players


DIEGO VAZQUEZ


(CO-CREATOR & DIRECTOR)

CEO at Detachment East, Diego is a Director and VFX Supervisor who has worked on
major Hollywood feature films and many high profile commercials and promos for
leading companies around the world for 22 years. He is a poncho and hat
enthusiast.


AARON PANKOWSKY


(CO-CREATOR, WRITER & ANIMATOR)

Senior 2D Artist on film and commercial projects, character designer, storyboard
artist, concept artist, voice actor, published children's book author &
illustrator. Converts caffeine into animations and CO 2.


ARRAN BROWNLEE


(ENGLISH ADAPTATION)

Worked in film and television for over 20 years writing, directing, creating
concept designs and storyboards for countless commercials and film productions.
Arran is a Canadian who is digging a tunnel in the snow, from his house to the
liquor store,

Smell that? ATM we’re cooking up thousands of unique, fully rigged, totally
usable 3D avatars.

This project is powered by www.dnablock.com, who we’ve been working in
collaboration with to make sure each Tripper NFT comes out of the oven fully
baked (ahem); each one an original 3D avatar, with a totally unique combination
of features and traits, fully rigged and ready to use.

We’re already using them, here at deteast.com to create the Trippy Tour animated
series.

We’re having so much fun creating the pilot episode for the Trippy Tour animated
series.

After almost 6 years of development, we’re super excited to see it coming
together.

The best part is seeing the characters we’ve known and loved come to life, move
and talk… reach for doobies… flop on the couch and talk total nonsense..
