About Us

WELCOME AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESTORE HOPE FOR HOPELESS.

Restore Hope for Hopeless is a Congolese non-governmental organization , of
humanitarian and development work, founded in 2015, in order help the most
deprived people, mainly women, girls and children in vulnerable situation. 

Facing armed and inter-ethnic conflicts for more than 20 years, the Democratic
Republic of the Congo has suffered more than 5.4 million deaths. Several regions
have turned into areas of lawlessness where poor civilians are looted, raped and
killed, sometimes by indeterminate groups. Sexual and gender-based violence
(SGBV) has affected the lives of millions of people, especially women and girls.
If early marriage seems to be on the decline thanks to multiple
awareness-raising efforts, rape and sexual violence remain permanent in several
regions in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In addition to this, these armed
conflicts have seriously injured children’s rights. The recruitment of children
by armed groups and other violations of children’s rights are still relevant. In
view of all of the above, called upon by this social emergency, we created an
NGO called Restore Hope for Hopeless on November 12, 2015. Restore Hope for
Hopeless has developed an intervention based on the rights of children and women
as defined by the United Nations.

OUR MISSION





1. Promote the respect for human rights and facilitate development cooperation,
mainly for women, girls and children in vulnerability situation in the
Democratic Republic of Congo.

2. Promote, coordinate, and supervise social, humanitarian and development works
for the spiritual and physical well-being of men, women and children.


OUR ACTIONS





Since 2015, we have been carrying out humanitarian actions in favor of people
living in vulnerable situations:

•Recover the rights of women and children through protection-related projects;

•Water for all women through the construction of drinking water wells in rural
areas;

•Empower the rural women and young girls through funding their income generating
projects initiatives for their self-reliance living.

•Establishment of medical or health structures in rural and remote urban areas
to improve childbirth for women; Support for children's education in rural
areas.

OUR UPCOMING PROJECTS





With the support of our partner organizations, Restore Hope for Hopeless
Non-Governmental Organization wishes to:

Support rural women in entrepreneurship: creation of rural micro-enterprises for
women;

-Install safe drinking water wells in rural areas and build shelters for the
most vulnerable in the rural and remote urban areas;

-Awareness programs for women and young girls on human rights, gender-based
violence (SGBV) and democracy.


TO PROMOTE THE RESPECT FOR CHILDREN'S RIGHTS:


Children victims of human rights violences need effective access to ,eningfl
remedies, including legal and adlinistrative ones. Through our programs, we
fight against all these kinds of violences against children as listed by the
United Nations SDGs.

EDUCATION


Education programmes Through our educational, cultural and social projects we
place at the heart of our action, the promotion of children's rights as well as
the fight against social inequalities, discrimination and exploitation of
children. Every children has right to education. Let's promote the right to
education.

NO POVERTY


End poverty in all its forms and in all places, as expected by the United
Nations SDG.
TO PROMOTE RESPECT OF WOMEN'S RIGHTS

Establish programs, containing measures aimed at putting an end to
discrimination and constituting a basis for achieving equality between men and
women by guaranteeing them the same access to political and public life, and the
same educational opportunities, health and employment.

ENVIRONNEMENTAL PROTECTION :


Environmental protection, one of the United Nations SDGs, is a precondition for
ensuring a sustained growth and better quality of life for all the people of the
earth. Restore Hope for Hopeless discourages the deforestation of nature, while
promoting awareness programs on the climate change effects.

Restore Hope for Hopeless remains open to the participation of all the people of
Africa and the world to help them achieve their goals. There are many ways to
get involved in the work of Restore Hope for Hopless, by becoming a member or
volunteering. The volunteer program is open to all and without exception
depending on their field of expertise. Volunteering with Restore Hope for
Hopeless is a great way to show your support in achieving RHH's goals.
