V SÚLADE S PRÍRODOU


JUŽNÝ BREH DUNAJA V BRATISLAVE OŽÍVA

Územie na pravom brehu Dunaja po mnohých rokoch získa plnohodnotné využitie
s množstvom nových funkcií pre všetkých obyvateľov Bratislavy. Southbank sa
stane cenným rozšírením centra mesta na protiľahlom brehu rieky.


SÚŤAŽ, KTOREJ VÍŤAZOM JE PRÍRODA

Návrh projektu Southbank vyšiel z medzinárodnej architektonicko-urbanistickej
súťaže. Pri výbere víťaza odborná porota ocenila predovšetkým nosný koncept
návrhu, komplexnosť spracovania, kvalitu urbanizmu a architektúry. Dôležitým
aspektom bola tiež práca s verejným priestorom, s dôrazom na zeleň a prírodný
kontext na brehu Dunaja, v ktorom sa projekt nachádza. Všetky uvedené kritériá
najlepšie splnili architekti renomovaných ateliérov Snøhetta a Studio Egret West
v spolupráci s lokálnym partnerom gro architekti.

> „Už pri našej prvej návšteve Bratislavy bolo zjavné, že príroda je kľúčovým
> aspektom tejto lokality. Tzv. ‘Bowls’ preto v návrhu pracujú aj s existujúcimi
> dospelými stromami a ďalšou zeleňou, a zároveň vytvárajú trvalo udržateľný
> systém odvodnenia. Voda sa tak stáva hlavnou zložkou tvorby krajinnej
> architektúry.“

> Dunaj. Zamýšľali sme sa, či dokážeme navrhnúť také miesto, ako keby ho

> na viacerých úrovniach, ktoré budú navzájom prepojené promenádou. Táto
> promenáda sa stane priestorom pre komunitné stretávanie a hlavným bodom záujmu

SUSEDIA, NA KTORÝCH ZÁLEŽÍ NAJVIAC

> Vďaka terénnym úpravám víťazného architektonického návrhu sa podarí väčšiu
> časť prítomného biotopu mäkkého lužného lesa zachovať. Biotop bude naďalej
> zmierňovať negatívne dopady klimatických zmien, zachovávať biodiverzitu či
> tvoriť vhodné podmienky pre vznik habitatov rôznych skupín živočíchov, vtákov
> a hmyzu.

PRI RIEKE

Podoba projektu priamo nadväzuje na prírodný charakter okolia, na zeleň,
topografiu, hrádzu či rieku Dunaj. Riešenie verejných priestorov projektu
Southbank je založené na vytvorení série priehlbní, tzv. „Bowls“ - plôch, kde
bude zachovaná pôvodná úroveň terénu s pôvodnou vzrastlou zeleňou.

Bowls, každý s vlastnou identitou a funkciou, sú vzájomne prepojené promenádou
a spolu s partermi budov tvoria veľkorysý priestor pre aktívny život a oddych.
Verejné priestranstvá prechádzajúce pomedzi budovy umožňujú vysokú priechodnosť
územia a zachovanie jeho zeleného charakteru.
