Currently, one-third of global soils are degraded and depleted in carbon. The
Impact4Soil platform is here to drive cooperation and knowledge sharing on soil
carbon at an international level.

WHAT CAN IMPACT4SOIL DO FOR ME?

Impact4Soil is a unique, reliable and inter-institutional knowledge platform
that brings together the soil carbon community.
It is a source of key information and the latest research findings and results,
including methodologies for soil carbon balance monitoring, practices, networks,
and datasets.

Solutions for soil carbon experts

HEAR FROM IMPACT4SOIL USERS

Impact4Soil is a meeting point for soil carbon research and funding communities
to go further and faster as a collective. It is designed for different types of
users: researchers, policymakers, funding agencies, companies and NGOs.

Thanks to Impact4Soil I will be able to quickly identify relevant scientific
publications on soil carbon, and even better, I will have a quantified
assessment of the impact of practices on soil carbon. This last point is very
important for me, as part of a research organisation, because we are often asked
to provide this information by decision-makers and journalists. Knowing that
there is a reliable source of scientific information is therefore extremely
valuable.

Julien Demenois
Senior Researcher, Cirad (France)

Impact4Soil is a fantastic resource for the global science community. As someone
involved in the Soil Organic Matter network in the 90s, I'm thrilled by its
functionalities. It offers remarkable geospatial data layers and grants access
to 13,000+ publications on SOC impact, practical examples, land management
practices, networks, and related datasets. It's a one-stop-shop for SOC-related
information.

Pete Smith
Professor of Soils & Global Change, University of Aberdeen (Scotland)

Impact4Soil fills a much-needed all-in-one source of credible information and
data on SOC from global sources. It is a significant contribution to enhancing
the transparency of soil-related information and offers excellent opportunities
for synthesizing relevant information, whether for scientific research and
collaboration, policy support, evaluation, or the wider IRC community.

Research & Development Scientist, Embrapa (Brazil)
